One interesting thing she did mention was that 'the Australian shipment was sent over the weekend' and when I enquired further about this 'group shipping' method, she said - as far as she had been advised - 'CTOs and stock units were bulk transported together to Australia from Austin'

Just got the 'Preparing for Shipment' message on my order placed on 3/1/2014 :) first Australian order in the spreadsheet with a shipping estimate of February (though it is a stock model).

Same here - I think ours must be next to each other on the same pallet!

Hope they enjoyed each other's company on the flights. Bet they had a real giggle together about visiting Newark and Philadelphia twice.

I wake up to find my parcel is now at Stansted. This is looking very promising for an early delivery. Gulp.

That's more than I got. I haven't heard anything.

From the looks of our spreadsheet, it looks like the bulk of the January orders were on the same day (within hours). Maybe if they actually deliver them on time, the February batch will be small enough to come quickly.

...

Word for word the same as the one many of us January people received at the beginning of January. Unfortunately it doesn't tell you anything you didn't already know and isn't an indication of early shipment. Still, it's always nice to receive an email from Apple... :)

Man... they should have postponed the launch six months and just stocked up... seems like Tim Cook is hand assembling each one by himself.

I know I am not happy
But what will this mean for the Feb orders?
Apple are clearly not catching up.

Hmmm its really hard to tell, especially when they do bulk shipments to Australia. I suspect alot of February's orders will come over when your shipment arrives too...but that's just a guess.

Will wonders never cease! Bravo!!!
:)

Thanks Scissors and Subdiv. It's been quite month for all of us!

I'm not sure of everyone else's experiences so far with deliveries, I've certainly seen much heated debate about UPS. For me, the email from Apple says "standard delivery" and the UPS summary page says "UPS Worldwide Expedited".

My Mac Pro is at DFW Airport at the moment, no doubt having a shufty round Duty Free. Half expecting it to turn up next week loaded down with absinthe and export swiss watches.

I'm just happy it's on way… :D

Mine also says worldwide expedited, but looking at the estimated delivery it's sure not any kind of express.

If you look at the Asia and Oceania spreadsheet, you will see that I am the highest up the list (order confirmation 12.58am PST on Dec 19th with "available in ship January" - Australia) who has not received a CTO MacPro (6 core, 32MB RAM, 1TB SSD, D700), nor even had a status change from "processing". It is now 9pm on 30th. Apple will break its promise if it doesn't ship tomorrow. The only thing which has changed is a "pending" on my credit card on 27th.

Does anyone know the details of the bulk shipment to Australia?

Perhaps mine is in that shipment! When shipped from Sydney, I will receive it on the next working day.

One can only live in hope! My 2007 MacPro 2,1 died on 7th November 2013. A long wait for a replacement!

A great feeling indeed and you have the pleasure of being able to look at a tracking log which you can be sure *is* updated frequently.

As my nMP made it to Stansted by 4am today, and I've seen packages go out for delivery the same day arriving at Stanstead later than that, I thought it was a slam dunk that I'd get it today. Unfortunately, it's still at Stansted now! I shouldn't be disappointed as it is scheduled tomorrow, but this is still a tiny bit annoying given it's just an hour's drive away.

For now I can be thinking about how I'm going to transport it home from London to Surrey on the train without drawing attention. One option I'm considering is a Poundland carrier bag...

----------

Mine also says worldwide expedited, but looking at the estimated delivery it's sure not any kind of express.

As far as I can see, the shipping options only make a difference within the U.S., and even with a "free upgrade" it's difficult to measure as some non-upgrade packages seem to be sent out by the quickest method in any event. International packages always seem to go by the quickest method.

My Aussie order got quasi-charged on the same day, ditto no notice.

(I ordered 2 less cores, and 500 times more memory.)

I ordered about 2 hours after the store opened back up. My order is still processing, ships in January. Apple care and computer pending charges on my bank account. It's coming down to the wire I guess.

Down to the wire...

Still showing processing for my stock Quad core order placed at about 3:30am PST... I knew it was going to be tight, as the Apple Store switched to February delivery soon after.

It seems to me that Apple have badly bungled the introduction of the nMP. May be Tim Cook would be better placed just looking after Apple's supply line again.:D
