$99 is pretty cheap for hush money; I should have gotten them to comp AppleCare. ;)

I actually asked about this on my call and the csr said apple care is one thing they don't have permission to comp or discount

A thought I had: those who had other items on their order like the sharp 4k display... Did the extra items ship immediately or is everything on your order shipping together? A couple weeks ago I picked up the same sharp 4k display apple was selling when I saw it marked down about $500 at B&h. Depreciation on bleeding edge technology is fairly rapid. I refuse to re-check prices on the display now that it's in my house bc I know what I find might make me sad haha. But I know I would have been really frustrated if I bought the display from apple and it dropped $500 in price during the 2 months I've been waiting for my Mac Pro (I don't have anything else capable of driving it at 4k)

I just got a text from Apple Store saying that my items had been delivered and that they hoped I like the products. And if I log in to check my order it say partly delivered. The Issue I have is that it also says that the package is in Amsterdam, I live in Sweden. Has this happened to anyone else? My MP is estimated to be delivered March 10th by the way.

so confused.. so frustrated.. was a February baby, and my status changed to 'shipping to store' about 3 days ago. looks like my credit card was hit yesterday, but i have no idea 'where' my nMP is. They don't offer any shipping info, and i'm told to wait for the email/text from Apple when it's ready for pick up.

would have made for a great weekend...

Spreadsheet Problems

Not sure what happened, but I was deleted from the spreadsheet.

Edit: Is someone "sorting" the data AGAIN?! Because all the 8 core Order people have vanished from the spreadsheet. Can someone explain, what gives?

Edit: Okay someone did "filter/sorted" the Data and some people were hidden as a result.

My card was hit Tuesday morning at 3:00 am then changed to a hold it's been that was ever since. I got a call from Austin on Thursday telling me it would be an additional 5-7 days I told them I was really disappointed in apple. They said they'd bump me up to next day shipping I said I already had next day shipping, they offered me nothing else. I called 1800 my apple and spoke to a rep, I told her it was very frustrating that it looks like there will be a 7500 hold on my credit card for 2 weeks that I can't pay down because it's not an actual charge but it keeps me from making any other purchases on the card. They said they felt bad and it was unfortunate but there was nothing more they could do and nothing new they could tell me.

This morning I wrote a letter to Tim Cook telling him I appreciate that he was willing to stand up to a profit only driven suggestion by a board member, but I felt that I as a customer was not important to apple. He hasn't written back yet.

I guess maybe it was because I already got the educational discount they don't feel like they need to provide me with anything else. I know next time I'm purchasing from on line retailer that's not apple this has been extremely disappointing. Ordered 9pm eastern 12/25/13 12core with the min ram and min hard drive and the d700 graphics.

I am in the same boat. But I did call customer service and they told me that my Mac would arrive at the store on Monday so it seems like the reps have access to more detailed tracking info. I am curious about how the process works at the store. I think they scan them after it arrives and it will send an e-mail that we can pick them up. I'm not sure I like ship to store as much as direct shipping.

I don't think so. I am on educational discount as well. I did not get any offer until I called them and asked for it. I was pretty straight forward and told them. Remember a person on another end is also a human being who has feeling and emotion. I told a lady I understand her as she is working on the front line. There is nothing she can do to speed things up and she is not part of this. I have no complaint and am not angry at all. I just give it a shot for an offer she can give it to me. I also told her to be strong. There will be a lot of people call and complaint about this. She went to talk with supervisor and offered me 100$ off. I ordered lower specification than you. It depends on approach to people.
Just be claim.

Since I am a business user and interface regularly with Apple, I can tell you a few things:

1. The folks in the store can't track your personal orders.
2. You can always call 1-800-MY-APPLE and they will tell you when the ETA is at your store.
3. Most stores will unpack the daily batch before they open such that by opening time (10AM...) customers can come and fetch their orders.
4. You will get an email/SMS around (or often times before) opening time.

Many folks (including me) who had a 'ship to store' this week will get in on 3/3. Have fun!

Maybe I was too calm? I tried to be nice to those guys while explaining to then my issue and saying that I understand they're just the messanger but politely asking if there's anything they can do. Oh well

My nMP was marked as shipped (to Scotland) on Friday and was showing a location of Amsterdam.

On Saturday it showed it was in Hinckly, UK, but now it's just showing (USAUS10) in the location field.

Delivery date has stayed at 10th March since Friday.

I'm hoping the date and location will change again on Monday.

I wouldn't worry until then.

I've had no texts - just the above from tracking my order.

Be happy it's on its way!

Mine should be arriving in Glasgow on or before the 11th. Now however it is saying 'Delivers 18 March 2014' which is wholly unacceptable. Just about to give them a call to find out what the heck is going on....

My Mac Pro finally shipped on Thursday. I had gotten in touch with the apple executive support rep that had contacted me after I emailed Tim the day before and requested to be upgraded to expedited shipping. He told me he could do that, no problem. However, when the nMP shipped on Thursday, it was UPS ground.

It arrives Tuesday.

What an up and down. UPS was quick getting the cylinder from Texas to Germany. Everything looked fine for a delivery on 03/03. Then they parked it in Cologne (why Cologne - they have carnival there theses days!). Delivery date changed to 03/04 last night.

But now: Delivery switched to 03/03 back again...Fingers crossed.

Spreadsheet update

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the thanks about the spreadsheet, but really it would have been nothing without all the good work from everyone on here. :)

Been a couple of weeks since I came on here and no surprises to see the same emotional roller coaster rides of credit card charges dropping off, empty calls from Apple and couriers not delivering as they should.

If it's ok with everyone here, I'll start moving completed February orders from the "editable" spreadsheet to the "frozen" completed orders spreadsheet later this week.

Mark

Apple Update

Called Apple today they told me between the 14th - 19th of March for delivery. Once again they told me all customised Mac Pro for Europe are all but in China. He also said if I want a goodwill gesture, call back when I get my Mac Pro.:mad::mad:

Show them this. I got the $150 discount before I got my MacPro.

Hello, long time lurker; first time poster here...

At last my beast is at home, yay!

My data (not in the spreadsheet):

Ordered: 12/19
Shipped: 02/27
Received: 03/03
Country: Spain

BTO Configuration: 4C/16GB/512GB/D300

Will use it mainly for Aperture 3 photo-edition, coding (OpenGL based apps mainly, some iOS/Android apps) and occasional gaming.

To all of you still waiting... Don't give up!

Mine left Austin, TX, USA on 02/27 or so the tracking says, so not all BTO for Europe are being built in China (if I have understood you correctly that is, if not my apologies)

Let's hope Apple does compensate you (and all of you who are in the same spot) handsomely!
