This thread has gotten pretty quiet....

I ordered on Jan 23rd, 6 core, 16gb, 1tb, 700's. CC charged today, looks like the home stretch although still showing "Processing..." in order status.

Hmmm, ordered 20th Jan, no word as yet, still 'processing'. Almost the same config' (6c/16Gb/512/300s). Starting to get impatient now...

December 28th order, at long last is here after 73 days.
Spent the weekend in my city, collecting dust at the local UPS sorting facility.

Now begins the long journey of importing everything again. Oh boy.

Thanks for the outlet. Without posting here and obsessively checking these forums I think I'dve gone nuts indeed.

Mine arrived on the 6th after having ordered on Dec. 20th. It took entirely too long but it was worth the wait. Got the base model as that was really all I needed and can more easily get a RAM upgrade paid for than if I had paid Apple.

I ordered from a premium reseller on January 10th (4 core, 16GB, 256GB, D300) and it's still "processing". First they told me february, then middle of march and now march/april ....

Why "oh boy?" When I got my nMP a week ago (ordered on 12/27), all it took was about an hour and a half of restore time from Time Machine to get back my 15+ years of photos, music, and FCP "stuff".

The March schedule has started moving into the channel.

On the spreadsheet, an order from 1/21 for a (6-core, 1TB, D700) changed to prepare for shipping!

Hmmmm... which "premium reseller" did you use? I hope that isn't a cause for longer delays. I ordered my CTO from B&H on March 1st. At the time it said April (or 4-6 weeks). I'm hoping that it might be quicker than that... I had been holding out for supply to start to catch up with demand, but it seems that may be a long ways off.

I ordered mine from Adorama on 1/9. Still have yet to hear anything. Anyone else have any luck taking delivery of a Mac Pro from Adorama?

... I guess everybody got their Mac Pros?

Not me!:(

I called Apple CSR to inquire as to when/if March nMP shipments would be delivered 'on-time' for March's expected deliveries. I think I would have gotten a better answer if I used a magic-8 ball. They know nothing (or at least trained in Jedi-mind trickery to say they know nothing). This is not the nMP you seek.

i emailed tim cook weres my mac pro at sucka? hasn't responded.

Wow I really hope you get a response, because I ordered back in Jan. But if you get yours soon that means I'll get mine retroactively, right? That is how it works...no?

Got a shipping notice and tracking information (today 3/12) Expected delivery is March 17th. I ordered on Jan 21, 8/32/D700/1tb

For those using time machine, it may be simple. For those going from hackintosh and tons of installed apps that can't just be drag&dropped, less simple.

Got my machine on Monday and finally had a chance yesterday to begin the migration from my old Mac Pro.

And I am sorry to say that it was much more complex than I anticipated. In part, because on my old system I had an SSD that ran just applications and system software… And then a separate drive that was my data and user files.

The migration tool doesn't really take into account a user account but is not part of the system.

I thought I had all my ducks in a row, when I had cloned all of my data to a Drobo. Sadly, the Drobo doesn't work well with the migration tool as best I could tell.

Lol... Still in the process of migrating my data today. Really looking forward to when I can actually start to test the computer and what it can do speed wise. But for the most part, I have just been transitioning data for a day.

----------

P.S. Since my new Mac Pro has the one terabyte SSD drive, my plan is to eliminate the separate system and data drives and bring it all together on the one. Apparently, that's its own kind of challenge.

Ordered Jan 23rd (quad/16GB/1TB/D500). Shipped today, 3/12.

I ordered the stock quad core on Feb 6th so I wonder if that means I can expect shipping some time in the next 10-15 days. I was hoping stock configs would ship faster but there's no evidence of that (because almost no one ordered a stock config!)d

Counting Days

I ordered on February 2, 6 core, 16g, 512, D700. I keeping checking this thread to see how much closer I might be getting! Still keeps telling me "processing" on the Apple site. Hoping that changes soon! :D

the shipping in march people are averaging 40 day wait time so it sounds like production is ramping up

I agree that the wait time is dropping, but I see the current average at around 50 days.

BTW: I just found and changed a cell containing a 3/5/2013 ship date to the year to 2014.

p.s. If I did so in error (because one of you is a time traveller) please contact me yesterday to remedy this.

Dec 27 order finally shipped

I changed my order a few times adding some RAM, changed the processor, and though I ordered back in December, I just got my shipping notice today.

I started today at "Processing" like I had for the past 2.5 months. I called Apple directly and spoke with a supervisor, within an hour my status changed to "Preparing to Ship". I have my delivery already scheduled for the 17th.

Good luck in waiting you all. I have to get back to my lurking....
