Just got back from UPS. Moving my 3,1 over to another monitor and getting ready to hook this bad boy up on the 30" ACD.

Curious to hear how well that works. I occasionally have opportunities to pick up a 30" but I don't know if the mess of adapters and whatnot are worth it and how well it works on the nMP.

weird,,, i ordered 512 SSD, 6 CORE, 12gb ram, & D700.. on
feb, 20th, on march 18th, my status went from "shipping in march" to
"shipped" i got the tracking number,
and got info to fedex,(next day air) , was picked up on the 19th, and
should be here TODAY! My card was charged a few hours after the
initial shipping notice, and was picked up from austin about 23 hours later!

i think its weird that i never got the "processing" and other notices,, but i think i like it better this way!

good luck to everyone else,,, looks like apple is catching up on the shipments!:p

Congrats! Pretty quick. I ordered 1TB SSD, 6 CORE, 16gb ram, & D700 on January 23rd. My CC was charged, or rather an authorization was put on it, on March 10th, then it went away, and I'm still "Processing...". Got my hopes up when I saw the charge, but disappointed it's 10 days later and no movement. Hopefully soon. Can't really complain, it's still March, but it's been a very long wait and it's hard to really figure out what the deal is, perhaps some specific component(s) are holding things up....

Just got it,, fedex guy was starting his truck up,, and I'm like,, hey! I'm right here! & he says,, I left it on the table!

Hoy moly! Good thing I was home! Didn't have to sign! Nice nondiscript brown box,,,

Now,, to have fun!!!! ;)))
 
Has anybody heard anything lately that ordered through B&H? I ordered on Jan 20th and as of a few days ago they told me they can't even give me an estimated ship date. I see from the spreadsheet that none of the B&H orders seem to be going out very quickly.

Actually, I HAD ordered from adorama, and when I got the processing email, I cancelled my apple order, and then two days later I got an email saying they still waiting from apple to ship it to them, I felt kinda ripped off, cause when I ordered it, it didn't say it wasn't in stock, like most if the configurations,, would a been more than what I would pay for my preferred configuration, and since I had to wait indeterminate length of time anyway, I re-ordered with apple and cancelled my adorama order,,,

I don't think that B&H (just like Adorama) has much control of when they get stuff,,,

Ship to store

For those that have shipped to store in the USA, do you go from processing directly to a notice it's in store, or does it go to preparing to ship, then shipping, and finally in-store?

Jan 23rd order, 6c, 1TB, 16gb, 700's. Still "processing" and getting a bit impatient although encouraged to see Feb orders being delivered.

Yikes... I ordered from BH on March 1st as to avoid California's heavy sales tax. Called them a couple times and they don't know very much... apparently they received some CTOs back in January but not a lot since then. They did say I'm near the top of the list for the model I ordered (6c/512/16/D700). When I ordered the estimate was 4-6 weeks and I'm praying for closer to 4.

You will get a 'shipped to store' status change notice. Next is a notice from the store that it's ready for pickup. In my case (close to San Francisco) it took 3 working days. If you call 1-800-MYAPPLE they can give you the ETA for your store.

You know that you still legally owe the sales tax, albeit on your annual tax declaration rather than on the purchase itself.

That's the law and you stating in a public forum you're evading it isn't very smart...

If my accountant advises me to pay California's "use tax" then I will. But I'm only receiving it in California because I'm here temporarily. The thought that the State of California is going to research something I anonymously posted on this forum is a bit far out there... but who knows these days!

Back to the real question: WHEN AM I GONNA GET THIS THING?

I ordered from apple rite about the time it shifted to april so im hoping early april.
 
Left work early today and just as I sat down at home I get an email from a colleague telling me that my mac pro has arrived. Looks like I'll be coming to work early tomorrow :p

It took 73 days to get it delivered.
 
I'm getting pissed at B&H at this point. After initially seeing a February estimated delivery date on their site when I ordered on 1/20, it's just about April now and they are saying they haven't gotten any info from Apple as to the estimated timeframe. Looking at the not yet shipped orders on the spreadsheet, there's a noticeable trend of B&H orders not being filled.

On a very related note, does anyone know of any websites showing in stock availability on non-standard configs? I'd really love to cancel my B&H order at this point, even if it meant the possibility of waiting a little longer, just because I'm tired of them not advocating on behalf of their customers with Apple. We don't have the option of contacting Apple directly because we don't know what our order numbers are with Apple. I understand that B&H doesn't control when Apple ships, but they could be more proactive about looking into why Apple seems to be putting their customers' orders at the bottom of the list.

There could be a ton of reasons... I'm wondering myself about how quickly B&H placed their order with Apple after I ordered through them. Did it take a couple days to get processed or was it done right away? I agree they should be advocating on behalf of their customers, but from what I've heard of people calling Apple directly after ordering they haven't been able to get much info, either. I saw a lot of people on the spreadsheet who had 3/25 as a listed date... I'm wondering if they've heard anything new or will hear of anything by end of day. As someone whose feeling his patience way over taxed and ordered from BH on 3/1, I can only imagine how frustrating it is for you!

Obviously if you order directly from Apple you can at least push them for faster shipping and/or a free accessory or whatever. But primarily I just don't like calling B&H and having them tell me that they checked with Apple 5 days ago and don't really feel like checking again with them so soon after. When you're going on a month late on the supposed shipping date, I'd say checking with them again 5 days after they were last told they had no info isn't an unreasonable request.
