Upgrading from a 2007 Macbook 2.2 GHz C2D

Ordered just now. Says to expect arrival between April 29 - May 5.

Using it for a Grad program in Instructional Design. Putting CS5 on it soon as possible. Hoping it's not to big for me, I really like using the 13" in my lap.

Of course, I'm excited and hoping for nothing but good stuff.

Wonder what the best sleeve for this thing is?
 
Arrived! 17inch Core i7 512SSD 8GB

Just arrived. Ordered last Tuesday, CTO verison, shipped on Friday, arrived here today via express shipping (Fedex) from China. Curious as to what OS X version is shipping with it. I want to image my current MacBook Pro 17 (Core2 Duo) to the new drive (Core i7) so as to keep all of my software and settings. Will post some benchmark scores later as to the performance of the SSD drive.

This is getting ridiculous for me, I ordered mine on the 13th, and the original estimated delivery date said the 22nd. It's the 22nd now, I'm in Alberta, Canada and my Package is in Buffalo, NY!

Come on!!! The email I got from Apple said it should deliver by the 23rd, so unless it's going straight from Buffalo to Alberta... I don't think that's going to happen. I'm considering giving UPS a call :mad:
 
Ordered my New MacBook Pro 13" 2.66 Ghz the 13th. I didn't order at the Apple shop but at a reseller who was saying "Ships in 10+" days which means so much as "We don't know when we'll get it". I didn't raise hopes of an early shipment much as I live in Germany and saw the ash clouds in between of my MacBook and me.

But yesterday it arrived!! I'm so happy, finally, my first Mac! :D
Have to work now, but I'm looking forward to the evening. I have to read tons of tutorials and become acquainted to my MBP ;)

I've been waiting for a year! *sigh of relief* :apple:
 
Apple in Greece is really . . . slow ! ! !

Ordered my new MacBook Pro 15.4" 2.66 i7 with HR Glossy and 500GB (7200rpm) on Tuesday (20/4/2010) from the "Authorised Distributor" of Apple here in Greece. My eta is up to 3 - 5 weeks :(

hmm. maybe i should've gone with expedited shipping, as you ordered yours after mine....i just figured 2-3 day shipping would only apply to # of shipping days....not how soon it was ready to ship...

Just took delivery on my BTO 15" MBP.

Ordered: 4/14/10
Delivered: 4/22/10

After the fiasco I went through with my last MBP, I'm glad to have its high end replacement in my possession.
 
I am now the proud owner of my first (real - see "non-hackintoshed") MacBook Pro.

Unboxed a 15" 2.66 GHz i7 w/Hi-res glossy last night.

All I can say is HOLY S*** I had no idea how much I'd love it. Work productivity has temporarily dropped significantly (due to my fiddlin' with everything...)

started order with 1-3 days, when submitted 5-7.

status still states not yet shipped

It shouldn't. The only thing I can think of is that the backlog on the 2.53 and 2.66 models are longer than the backlog on the 2.4s.

I placed on order on the 19th, and it hasn't shipped yet either, but it isn't a baseline model like his is.

MBP i7,
with a 7200 rpm,

and I just need to check the performance of it; on my MBP it takes 5 bounces on the dock to launch idvd, can you tell me how many bounces it takes on one of your MBP with i7 and 7200 RPM HDD
 
I ordered a 15" core i7 with hi-res screen on the 19th. Still hasn't shipped yet, but states will arrive between 27th and May 3rd.

Also have a iPad 3g coming too. Needless to say, looking forward to next weekend. :)

Probably 5, but the bounces will be faster. :rolleyes:
