Ordered CTO 15" i7 machine with anti-glare display on 4/16...still not even at prepared for shipment :p
 
Could you post the turnaround time from order date to delivery date? I ordered this configuration yesterday and was hoping the delivery was faster than the Apple estimates. Thanks!

I ordered the same day, expedited shipping and it`s info is still at

I`m refreshing all the time praying for updated info as I really need that computer by the 30th for a 24-hour film festival. I hope both of us, along with anyone else who ordered on the 19th gets their laptop before the end of next week.
 
If it doesn't ship by the end of the 7th business day, I'm gonna complain and get some free crap
 
If it does arrive with defects and it's a CTO, do they repair the screen on site at the Apple store? How does that all take place

I know lol I'm just extremely anxious right now. I hope that it'll be ready to ship on Monday or Tuesday as that'll probably give enough time to deliver via expedited shipping, I hope:(

You've gotta send it back to Apple via FedEx/UPS/whatever carrier. Apple Retail stores and the Apple Online store are two distinct sales channels, unfortunately.
 
I ordered on the 16th too, still haven't ship yet. =( im refreshing every hour lolz. I WANT IT NOW!
 
Welp I just ordered a base model 15" MBP 2.4 with the only upgrade being the hi res glossy screen. It's showing May 3-7 for delivery.

I used to have an original model 15" 1.83 CD MBP and migrated to a Dell XPS M1530 about 2 years afterward. That's what I'm typing on now and the new MBP will be replacing this. Honestly there's not a whole lot wrong with the Dell, and Windows 7 is okay, but I gravitated back to the Mac. So I guess I was a switcher who switched back and now I'm switching again. :eek:

My mom will get my Dell, so that will be a nice upgrade for her! (she has one of those budget-model sub $400 Toshiba machines from Wal-Mart) Plus with the printer rebate I've got a nice Epson Artisan 50 on the way as well, free of charge.

I can't wait for the new machine. I see some of you stressing about the amount of time it takes to get your machines (2 weeks seems to be the norm)... and yes while that is a bit of time, just for reference, the Dell I have now took 33 days to arrive at my doorstep due to a battery shortage. So hey, it could be worse, right? I'll be satisfied if this machine gets here in 2 weeks :)
 
I was pretty bummed that the local Apple Stores didn't carry the configuration I wanted in stock, so I had to order online. I can't freakin' wait to get it! My pre-unibody 07' 15'' MBP is long overdue for an update...

I spent forever trying to decide whether I wanted to stick with the 15'' or upgrade to the 17''. And then it was the decision of high-res glossy or matte? Well, the specs speak for themselves :D

When the prices on the X25-M 160gb SSD drops more, It'll be going in!
 
My MacBook Pro arrived this morning. It is absolutely amazing. I got the 2.4Ghz 15" with the Hi-Res Anti-glare display and am absolutely loving it. The first thing I did was put my 640GB hard drive from my old MacBook in it, and now I'm all set. The only disappointing thing is that I don't think my battery life will ever get close to the supposed 8 hours Apple claims.
 
Over a week on not yet shipped. Probably just going to go to the store this weekend and cancel my online order if they have the model I want in stock.
