I finally took the jump and order a MBP 15" i7 4gb with the HR AG... Upgraded the HDD to 7200rpm since sdd was kinda out of my budget. Still have to wait untill the mid of May (12th - 18th of May).
Took a lot of thinking to choose between the i5 or the i7, but since i will be using the mbp atleast 2-3 years, i think that in the long run the faster processor will be worth it. Also the 512mb gpu made the decision lighter, since some games need that as a minimum.
I can't wait till the thing finally gets in my hands... still 2 weeks to go...

My MBP has finally shipped today!!

I ordered a 15" HR AG i7, with the 500GB 7200rpm drive and 8GB of ram on April 26th. I guess my university paid for expedited shipping and it'll be here on the Thursday, May6th. Oh, and it's being shipped to Michigan.

I'm with Mac now

Hello all, I received my (first) MBP four hours ago. Specs are in my sig.

Order date: 19/4
Shipping date: 24/4
Delivery date: 3/5

I love it so far!

:D

Wow. That's some long shipping times in this thread!

We ordered a 17" MBP opn launch day at it arrived 9am the following morning. We didn't really like it, so we sent it back and ordered a BTO 15" i7 with the High Res Anti Glare screen. That took about 4 days to get through manufacturing then when it shipped it again arrived next day.

How can you tell if it is in manufacturing?

You can't All I'm saying is that, unusually, my BTO order went in, had an estimated delivery 2 weeks down the road, then changed, and I ended up placing a BTO order and getting it within less than 5 days. I'm in the UK.

Oh, that stinks, mine still says not yet shipped. I just want my new toy. :(

I just ordered a new MBP 15" 2.53 i5 to use as my main and only machine. Cannot wait to get my hands on this beauty :)

Anybody know what the difference is? And which one I'm supposed to pay attention to? First time using :apple:Store.

This question has been asked about 5x10^100 times in this thread. The date next to "Delivery Status" is the estimated ship date. The date next to "Estimated Delivery Date" is exactly what it sounds like.

I got mine a day early (28th) so was very happy, not had a huge amount of time to play with it but damn it's fast. (15" i7, 8GB Ram, 128 SSD)

This is my 1st mac so it's all new. I've managed to install Windows 7 alongside until I'm 100% comfortable on the mac. Battery life seems good so far.

I've also managed to get it on my home network and sharing files with Win7, WinXP and Ubuntu.

I'll stick some pics up as soon as I upload them.

Fedex Flight

Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster. Don't think anyone put this up yet. Anyone who was waiting for their MBP over the weekend because it was stuck in Shanghai, the flight is coming into Memphis at 11:47PM this evening according to it's tracker.

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX90

Long time coming, I ordered at 6:30 AM on April 23 and it's apparently on that flight with an ETA of Thursday. Almost two weeks, I'm hoping for an advanced delivery.

Well, no more waiting, I finally bit the bullet and bought the base 13" Macbook Pro. Boring and stock, I was heavily, heavily considering the 15" with the high res screen (it looked great in the store) but I know that seriously I don't need the power (or cost) of the iX series, and I love how small and light the 13" is. I just wish the resolution was bumped just a tad. ;) Sitting at home on the couch I know I made the right choice, I really wanted portability. What can you do.

Just messing around getting it all configured, Itunes home sharing all hooked up and Tweetdeck up and running. First impressions, this is what I was waiting for! :) The multitouch trackpad is really the star on this for me, so much fun to use. At what point do I become a fanboi? ;) (ipod 80GB from a while ago, 3G from launch and now the MBP...)

i7 15" high res matte 7200rpm HD received today

Screen is perfect no dead pixels or yellow tinting. This thing is a beast. I can't even begin to imagine the speed with an SSD.
