Hmm.. I ordered my MBP 15" on July 30th and today it only says "Prepared for shipment". Is that normal?
did you custom make yours? It took me a week from order to delivery since i changed my screen and sdd.

My baseline 15" MacBook Pro came today. I got the high res glossy screen, which I am really glad about. I was worried about the txt being too small after spending some time reading the topics on here, but I am loving it.
It is so much faster than my old piece of junk I had. It was time to get rid of that. I like the user interface and how easy everything is to use.
I installed SC2 and am getting ready to play it now.

It's pretty much a basic model except for a hi-res anti-glare screen
I just got a Macbook Pro 13" from the apple store here in Augusta, GA. First off, as my first Mac, I love it. I've had an iphone 3g for 2 years and also upgraded to the Iphone 4, which I also love. I do have a question regarding which model I have, I'd like to assume it is the Late 2010 model, however I ran the geekbench tool today and it said I had the Early 2010 model. What are the differences? Is this important enough for me to need to go back and demand the late 2010 before my 14 days are up?
My first Mac ever, besides the iPad, is coming tomorrow. So excited! Selling the iPad since it doesn't have flash, never realized how many of my websites need it. Went with the MBP in my signature. Really hope it works well for some Call of Duty!!
FedEx just dropped mine off. This thing is awesome. Now I just have to install my SSD.
Edit: While I was checking out my laptop, I found out that I Apple sent me a laptop with 8GB of RAM instead of the 4GB that I ordered. I really don't know how they screwed that up. I just guess that I'm lucky.

Nope just a 500GB 7200RPM HDD (Anyone know what HDD it is?). Too poor to afford a SSD

Oh cool, my MBP shipped on August 3rd, and it's still "in transit" from Shanghai. I can't wait
The Vertex 2 that I just installed in mine is well under 30 seconds. I'll get around to timing it at some point; I'm pretty sure that it's below 20 though.
good news: my MBP arrived at my house!
bad news: no one was home...
i work 8-5 every day so it seems like the only option is to pre-sign for it. i'm just worried to leave it all on its own until i get home. eeek
