My MBP is now in Alaska. I good knowing its at least in the same continent as I am. Still wont see it till Monday though. I got a weekend of work anyway so I wont think about it to much.

i just got mine about an hour ago and i love it better than my hackintosh witch was a dell inspiron 1525.

Well I have a Core i7 860 and a Geforce GTX 285 hackintosh, but I'm not noticing any speed drops when I do the stuff I normally do, like webbrowsing and IMing, which is pretty nice.

I do notice differences in rendering speeds or gaming speeds, but thats only to be expected.

Just got the base 13 MBP for 1050USD all inclusive....sweet!!! I was a bit hesitant to go for it cause of the resolution but it is not all the bad! I guess I saved 700!!! :D
hmmm....maybe an iPad or an unlocked iphone.....:D

I just got my first mac ever, a refurbished 13" macbook pro, and it was 100% worth it. I love the trackpad, and Snow Leopard is fantastic :)

My first ever mac arrived Friday and I've been in love with it ever since. Spent the whole first day transferring files and downloading programs I need. I haven't paid for programs since... ever. I'm not starting now. P:

My `17" mbp and iPod Touch are both in Tennessee, however FedEx says my iPod is coming today but my mbp isn't coming until Wednesday.

Is it possible that I'll get both of my packages today (Monday)?

So I received my MBP this morning. In fact the door bell woke me up. UPS usually is in my area in the afternoon but he showed up at 9:45AM. Anyway, using the laptop right now and I'm loving it.

My new MBP wont even start up

I bought from the Apple store, a brand new 15", i5 2.4 ghz, last night. Got it home, unpacked it, plugged it in, and then nothing. No start-up chime, no light on the monitor, but i did hear a fan. Had 5 lights on the battery monitor. I thought these things were supposed to "just work".

Here's the options I got:

2.66GHz Intel Core i7
8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
128GB Solid State Drive
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display

Wish SSD's were cheaper. Figured I'd use an external drive if I needed space for non-vital files.

Now the wait begins...

My MBP is in Alaska. Delivery set for Friday.
Already started saying my goodbyes to my 2003 PowerBook G4.

my new mpb will be arriving tommorow! (missed it 2 days ago from the delivery person :()

now where was that thread 'What to do with your new macbook' that helps you check out of defects? should have bookmarked it last time.

Ordered my new 15MBP i7 500HD@7200 with HiRes antiglare screen. As advertised "will ship in 1-3 days," but no notice of shipment as yet, Will put the 2 year old MBP (see in signature) up for sale on craigslist once all the data is transferred.:D:apple:

First time Mac owner here. Received my 17" Macbook Pro yesterday day. Purchased it from J&R and used Amex points to bring the price down. Haha when I opened it up, I thought this is too nice to be a laptop! Neat aluminum casing without a doubt! Will be sad at my first scratch!! It's taking a bit to get used to for sure. The track pad had me really confused at first as I didn't know you had to click at the bottom. And it's a definite more forceful click than I'm used to. I assume that's normal. I'm sure I'll get used to everything. The screen is awesome!!

Oh, one question???? Does a Macbook Pro 17" i7 come with ANY software disks? In the box I had the power, two books one being Everything Mac and the other being Everything Else. I have ZERO software or Operating system CD's. Is this normal??? Sorry if it's a stupid question. I just thought it was odd to get zero discs with the computer. Like I said I bought it from J&R and it definitely looked sealed and never opened. It was the i7 with the faster 7200RPM drive and anti-glare. Thanks for any info!!

The system discs are in the "Everything Else" sleeve.

2.66 13" mbp arrives tomorrow, pretty pumped. my dell xps 1530 has lasted a solid two years and is in fantastic condition, but I needed something a little smaller.

I'll pick up a SSD and 8 gigs of ram for christmas

stupid 32 gig ipod touch is still in Shanghai

Haha in my haste of opening up and turning on, I swear it looked like another "book" in that sleeve!! Just glancing I didn't see any CD's!! How stupid of me!! I'm good to go thanks!! Not as stupid though for me not knowing how to "click" when I first turned the laptop on. Quite different from a PC. During setup, I kept getting to the language screen and had NO clue how to to move to the next page. Tapping towards the top of the pad did nothing. The enter button did nothing. I was stumped! I started the computer over twice until I figured it out!! Hope I didn't hurt anything by restarting twice during setup. ALL good now!! What beautiful machines these are!!!

I ordered the bas 15" with HR AG. I just checked the order status and it left Shanghai 5 hours ago :D. I'm HOPING it will possibly be here today, but me being realistic, it will be here by Thursday.

My 15" MBP left China on Monday. It's here in Downtown San Diego as I type (At local FedEx facility). Still says delivery on Friday even though I live less than 2 miles away from the facility. I WANT IT NOW!!! Must breathe...

UPDATE: My MBP is on the vehicle for delivery as of 7AM PST. Oh yeah...

got my new MBP 13" for 999 at microcenter yesterday. worth every damn penny :) feels weird being on the mac bandwagon, but awesome hehe

Just got my new 13" MBP delivered at work this morning. It feels so much sturdier and durable than my Air.

Got it at MacMall, so NO TAX and will be getting the prepaid mailer for the old Air around the 25th, so the $775 I'll be getting for it will go towards this MBP. :)

Ordered a 15" i7 from amazon today. It should be here on friday thanks to $4 next day shipping with amazon prime. No sales tax, plus amazon had a decent price already. I couldnt customize it but I plan on getting a SSD and more ram eventually. Can't wait to get it and install Starcraft 2 and Xcode.

Just picked up mine today from microcenter, got the $999 deal. All I can say is why didn't anyone tell me about the really awesome welcome video?

I'm such a dork.
