My MBP is now in Alaska. I good knowing its at least in the same continent as I am. Still wont see it till Monday though. I got a weekend of work anyway so I wont think about it to much.
i just got mine about an hour ago and i love it better than my hackintosh witch was a dell inspiron 1525.
Here's the options I got:
2.66GHz Intel Core i7
8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
128GB Solid State Drive
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display
Wish SSD's were cheaper. Figured I'd use an external drive if I needed space for non-vital files.
Now the wait begins...
First time Mac owner here. Received my 17" Macbook Pro yesterday day. Purchased it from J&R and used Amex points to bring the price down. Haha when I opened it up, I thought this is too nice to be a laptop! Neat aluminum for sure! Will be sad at my first scratch!! It's taking a bit to get used to for sure. The track pad had me really confused at first as I didn't know you had to click at the bottom. And it's a definite more forceful click than I'm used to. I assume that's normal. I'm sure I'll get used to everything. The screen is awesome!!
Oh, one question???? Does a Macbook Pro 17" i7 come with ANY software disks? In the box I had the power, two books one being Everything Mac and the other Being Everything Else. I have ZERO software or Operating system CD's. Is this normal??? Sorry if it's a stupid question. I just thought it was odd to get zero discs with the computer. Thanks for any info!!
The system discs are in the "Everything Else" sleeve.
