Congrats! Enjoy!

I've had my 17" UB since late Feb. and it's hand's down the best Apple's produced in a notebook.

U.K.
My new 13" MacBook Pro arrived today.. absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I need to do now is upgrade it to 4GB RAM and for me it will be perfect. I've got an iMac to do all the heavy lifting, so this is just for when I'm out and about -- and in the garden in the sun.

I'm very happy with the build quality (this is my first UniBody) and the battery is excellent. I've just spend a good few hours surfing the net on Wifi and streaming music via iTunes from my iMac and I've still got approx 4 hours 30 minutes left of battery life left.

The screen.. the screen has to be seen to be believed its' amazingly sharp and clear and the colours are REALLY vivid. For those interested, I've got the 9CBD screen in mine.

I'm very impressed here :D

Picked up my new 13" MBP at lunch today; transferring all my stuff from my 15" Penryn MBP right now at work. It is beautiful!

Loving my new 13 MBP

Went to the NC store today and picked up the 13 MBP. Thankfully no problems with slanted keys nor dead pixels (I was so worried after my last experience). I have the 9CBD screen and it's gorgeous. I haven't had time to calibrate it myself but I did a quick search here and found some folk's one for the 15MBP and tried them out. To my surprise, I found a fantastic one (think it was called "JC Diplay" - yeah I think it was misspelled) It's so good, I don't think I need to do my own and the screen looks as beautiful as my Air.

I am so pleased with this machine so far. At first I was thinking I needed to get a netbook, but after having this baby, no way! :D Guess I need to update my signature now...

Int'l Shipment Release???

After sitting in Shanghai for 2 days, it finally says Int'l Shipment Release - Anchorage, AK. What does this mean and what is the estimated ETA from this? I live in Dallas. Thanks!

FINALLY!

My Mac shipped! Getting it Monday though. Oh well. Oddly, it also shipped from east PA, like my iPod did yesterday....

At least I'll have my iPod touch to play with this weekend!

I've got the same status. My iPod was checked in there at 5:00PM and is supposed to be here Monday, while my MBP was checked in at 4:00PM and is supposed to be here Tuesday. Hopefully since the MBP was checked in before the iPod it will be here before/when the iPod gets here.

I just called FedEx and they say that Int'l Shipment Release means that it has cleared Chinese Customs and needs to clear US Customs. She also said that the message should display the same thing when it cleared US Customs. THe 2-3 day shipping was a scam.

I cancelled mine and ordered the default config (the 7200RPM HDD was my only CTO thing). 10 minutes later the status had been updated to "Prepared for shipment - Delivers June 15-17".

Highly recommended... you can put in an SSD later anyway (and for less money). Only problem is, it takes some time before the reservation on your bank account is removed. Last time I cancelled an order from Apple it took a whole week before I got the money "back", so right now there's the price of two MBP 17" "missing" from my account.

I would but I ordered mine with the free iTouch and Printer under the student discount and that'd require me to send back both and restart the order, so unfortunately I think I'm stuck waiting :(

I just looked at the 13" Pro in person at the Apple store and the screen is gorgeous! I'm gonna buy it very soon, once I sell my 2.16 C2D MBP.

I was comparing the 13" MBP to the uMB and the difference was completely noticeable. My brother, who doesn't really know much about the computers, said "why does this screen look like it's whiter?" (he was pointing out the uMB's washed out screen)

You would have to send stuff back? Well I will definitely hold out then. Not worth the hassle.

I think its 1-2 weeks for everyone, regardless of the model. It takes like 10-15 minutes to swap a hard drive.
People are already getting theirs that aren't BTO, and I bought a BTO with a 250 GB HD and it's supposed to be here tomorrow or Monday, not around the 30th.
