Walked into an Apple Store yesterday and picked up the base 17" model. (You know the specs. 
) Had been considering the 15" w/hi-res, but in the end the greater real estate of the 17" won me over. It's going to remain at home 95% of the time, so portability was not a major factor in my decision. Couldn't be more pleased!

yea i wanted anti-glare but i cant stand the white bezel on it doesn't seem right. Plus BB didnt have any and I wanted it NOW!!!!
Does the anti-glare really have a white bezel? I thought it matched the casing?
Also, I can't believe how many of you aren't getting the SSD. You're spending all that money...you should have the latest technology.

Yeah, mine is March 2nd as well.. You got Glossy 17" I got antiglare 17"..
I would like to know the 24/7 time too as I want to make sure I'm home for the signature!
Canadian here too, ordered 17 inch antiglare on the launch day, shipped out today. In apple email it says 2 March as delivery date.

Jaja same here i been using an old powerbook g4 i ordered also the 15" 2.0 with hr glossy, i think i gonna drop my g4 out the window before the week ends even if the macbook havent arrive

Hello Everyone! I am a new Mac user, I purchased a 2011 13in 2.7ghz core i7 on Thurs. online. It has taken an amazing journey from Shanghi to Memphis and should be in my hands tomorrow. I am very excited as this is my first Mac, i've been using PC's most of my life and have been ready for a switch for a while. I will be upgrading to 8gb RAM and eventually a 128gb SSD when the prices drop. I was wondering if people think i may be able to run games like Crysis and Portal 2 on low, after these upgrades? I have a PS3 and XBOX360 hooked up to a 50in LG Infinia, so this machine won't be for hardcore gaming. It's mostly for my wife's art career and to help future-proof ourselves (impossible, i know) for a little while. Any thoughts on whether i should wait for 6gb transfers or get an SSD now, and which companies are best? Thanks in advance, and i'm glad that this forum is here, for people to discuss.

Waitng is TORTURE! I seriously can't wait, my current laptop, poor thing, can do simple tasks, nothing else really. It's slow, even though I'm good at cleaning up rubbish on it, the "i"-key has been gone for 2-3 years, and now it starts to become useless, and it's running Vista! I can't describe how much I look forward to Photoshop running smoothly, or to install FCP on my new MBP. Just get it to my hooouse!

So excited and can't wait. Have to ship off my mid 2010 13" that I sold on eBay (for the same amount I paid for it) so I will be without a computer for a few days. Hopefully Apple ships in time to get it to me this week!
