awesome . good luck with yours . can't wait getting ready for it. Just waiting till it hits our shores than i will pull my 2 SSD OWC drives out and rebuild my current unit for sale. Sitting here backing data up in three places. LOL

Nice... I'm going to use the 500g 7200 that's coming in mine until the vertex 3 comes out. I figure I have gone this long without SSD that I can wait a few extra months. My current mbp is a 15" from December 2006, still in stock configuration.

I ordered the 17" and I am definitely looking forward to receiving it.. almost giddy-like. A child at Christmas with a slew of new toys!
 
Yea i may back off Raid 0 on mine when the newer SSD come out . Just going to wait that out a little until everything is working on them as they should and we truly get 500 read/writes. Also i would really like confirmation on Sata III in our HD sata port. Like to hear that from Apple actually or just real prove it exists.

My package in going to Germany, both are flying to Cologne. I'm glad that this seems to be a UPS tracking problem, because I've got same answers in two other german Mac forums. Hopefully this is a tracking issue and our MBPs are already in Europe.
 
why didnt i got an email from the apple store ?

A) BTO options
B) many online retailers have certain discounts / bundles that Apple does not
C) many online retailers do not charge TAX

tax in TN is almost 10%, so, that can be a substantial savings

Hopefully so :D If they are indeed already in Europe, then it should only be a matter of 1-2 days at most...

should be able to log into your account in the store and see your purchase, make sure all billing info is correct. I had put in the wrong zip cuz chrome auto-filled...called in, changed it and got the email like 2hours later. If your info is right then just wait, it will come. Patience you and hundreds of thousands of other ppl want the same thing

Nice. FedEx hasn't updated since Feb 27, 2011 3:51 PM (In Transit Shanghai)

im still having Mar 2 - Mar 7...
 
Just ordered a refurb 15" 2.4ghz mbp today. My first Mac. Excited yet I feel like it will be learning to use a computer all over again. I tried copying and pasting on my gf's Mac the other day, failed miserably. Should be interesting.
