Can't wait for mine to get here !

I got high end 15, 2.3 ghz, 8G, 256GB SSD, AG.

Dang i ordered my Base 2011 13" MBP yesterday at 6pm Alaska time and it still has not shipped out aaaah!, Oh well i dont think it will take ling to get up here

Did u get yours? Mine not...the last update was, "departed FedEx location, Memphis, TN", at 5pm US eastern time. I don't think they deliver on Sunday, right? Then, coming Monday. It sounds not bad since I can get a nice rest with the new machine after finishing a midterm. I better study now...:(

Looking back there were a few things I hated about the iMac. I hated that all the ports were on the back. Sure it makes the front look cleaner, but I hated turning that huge thing around to plug or unplug anything. I also hated that the I could hear the hard drive doing it's thing, whereas in a MBP I really don't. That's a 3.5" vs 2.5" drive thing though. 3.5" drives are louder in my experience. 2.5" drives have a solid whirring sound to them, but you don't hear the mechanics of them, instead it's just white noise.

The screen really was incredible on the iMac, but now that's it's gone, my 23" Acer plugged into my MBP is plenty big. I am doing dual screens, so I'm not missing out on much. Plus I got my mobility back. Hated being chained to my desk.

Nope, mine was "at local fedex facility" 2 hours away, 12 hours ago. hasn't moved. doesn't make that much sense why they're just holding on to it until monday, but whatever haha.
 
Just got my new 17" 2.3GHz macbook pro!

Just got my new Macbook Pro. Talk about a nice machine! About the only 2 things I have to do now is upgrade the ram to 8 gig and get a 750gig 7200rpm drive and I'll be all set (I bought it at a store, so I got the stock unit)

This is one NICE machine!

I was just a reading an article..."emotional intelligence"...and its effect on performance. Yeah. I agree. Can't focus on anything.:(

I kind of decided if I had to choose between sexy black bezel or actually reading the screen (the glare screen can be pretty difficult to read in anything but low light), I figured the grey bezel would be adequate, lol
 
I've got a USB3 cardbus adapter for my 1TB Seagate external drive, a USB hub for my keyboard and mouse, a firewire drive (I'm restoring a winclone image), and my external monitor.

I guess I really rather do like cables!
