So, you're saying that 13' can't handle any tasks that would require 8gb of ram? you must know something we don't about how this computer's going to be used....

So, you're saying that 13' can't handle any tasks that would require 8gb of ram? you must know something we don't about how this computer's going to be used....
It got here this afternoon, last night it arrived at Oakland, which is about 30 minutes away, this morning it first showed arrived at SF, and then 30 minutes later it showed Out for delivery. It got here 2 days ahead of Apple's ETA, glad I didn't upgrade shipping. 
It's SUPER fast, installing heavy stuff like Xcode, Photoshop, was super fast (while I was transferring 100 of GBs of stuff over via FW800 in TDM from old Mac, chose not to migrate this time for a lot of reasons)

Ordered a 15" MBP from Amazon yesterday after they dropped the price to $1714. It will be here Thursday. I would have liked a higher resolution screen, but I had so many Amazon gift cards that it would have been foolish to pay full price + tax through Apple.
Mine arrived in Koeln, Germany earlier. Scheduled delivery date of Thursday - can't wait!

Mine is now in Donnington with a delivery date of tomorrow! I hope UPS arrive early in the morning as the local US depot isn't too far from here.

I've had it since Friday and so far I don't use it as much as I had expected. I'm sure that will change when I get my design programs on it. I am not planning on doing a clean install and although scary for me I will not put antivirus or spy ware on it *crossing fingers* I have a friend who has the 2008 version. She was about to get a new one as hers was running slow but I told her that she needed to free up hard drive space and get some much needed ram as it only had 1gb on it. Is there a disk defragment program for a mac? It also wouldn't be bad to know this for myself in the future.
Also, are there any apps you may suggest from the app store?? I hear people like their apps and widgets!

I'm slowly figuring things out, but I'm fairly confident that I don't ever want to go back to my clunker of a Dell... Even getting on it to transfer files was depressing.
