MY THREE WEEK STRUGGLE COMES TO AN END!!!!!!! I finally picked up my 13" i7 today! It is absolutely fantastic. I've got it set up with surround-sound speakers and a 24" monitor + wireless trackpad & keyboard. It's the greatest thing to ever happen to mankind. I have just revolutionized the world. You're welcome.

Thanks dude! And I KNOW. My old MBP died 3 weeks ago, ordered new MBP on release day, it got to my home in the states last Monday, was mailed to me and was meant to be here in the UK last Thursday but was seized by customs until yesterday morning and I finally got it this afternoon
. Totally worth it. Although now I'm so far behind on work I don't even know where to begin.So I decided to start conditioning my battery from the jump on the 15" 2.6 i7 hi-res anti glare. Did a full charge, let it drain and rest, then another full charge. I've just unplugged it and have 2 safari windows open, echofon & sparrow mail. That's all.
I'm concerned about the battery as it says that it only has 4:37 of battery life left at 93% charge. Isn't the battery supposed to last longer than that? Should I go in to Apple and have them take a look at it? It's only on its 4th cycle and iStat says the health is 100%.

Received my first MacBook Pro March 7
Monday I was welcomed into the MacBook world for the first time. After having every Iphone I had to have a MBP. I am now a proud owner of a MacBook Pro 13". I'm lovin it!

I am now Windows-free (at home)
I ordered a 2009 13" Macbook Pro refurb on Monday, it arrived today. Since January, my primary computer is a current generation refurb iMac. I've got my Windows laptop sold to a coworker. As soon as I get the Windows laptop reformatted, I'm DONE with Windows at home.
I was ready to go for a 15" i5 refurb for $1269, but after spending a bit of time with both at Best Buy, I was sure I wanted 13", not 15". I was ready to wait for the 2011 13" to show up in the refurb store, but when I saw this $789 2009 model pop up in the Refurb store, I decided to go for it. A lot less power, but a lot less cash, too. With the current generation iMac, I know this laptop will meet my mobile computer needs for now. And, I'm comfortable with the total $$ I have invested in computers.
The laptop looks perfect, the battery shows only three cycles and though iLife '09 is installed, an iLife '11 disk was included. Love the trackpad. SO much better than the one on my Windows laptop. So far, for the little I've had time to do, it seems like it will be fine. And, like I said, I'm WINDOWS-FREE and I can't see myself ever looking back.

Not with a 15% discount any friend who works at apple can give you. Mine was just a touch over 1600 before my local tax (which sucked, but hey!)

Why does apple continue to show the new MBP on their site having a Black framing of the screen when what you get is a silver frame?
Not a big deal, but it certainly looks different. ..

Congrats on the 17" beast.
The black bezel (framing) comes with glossy screens and the silver is for anti-glare.
Faster than apple knows LOL
So i finally got my 13" i5 MBP today i arrived a whole day earlier than apple and FedEx thought it would i ordered on the 4th of March and they said it would be here on the 10th well it came today and do keep in mind i live in alaska ;-) so i am officially typing on it now and i am very very happy!!

Apple tends to surprise users when ordering things online, for example the iPhone 4 those who pre-ordered got theirs earlier then people waiting in line...
I ordered my new 17" CTO MBP on March 3rd (Thursday), the money transfered on Friday with the order being processed as early as March 7th (Monday). They sent it out on Midnight on March 9th (Wednesday) with an estimated delivery date of March 23rd (two weeks). Now I'm waiting for the tracking number and hope it gets here earlier...

Well and both coming with HiRes and Antiglare Display
I ordered a Macbook Pro with the same configuration.
It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow! I ordered it last Friday.
Should be at my house during 15 minutes! Now I'll just have to meet my dad so I can have it in my hands<3
