I ordered my 13 inch Macbook Pro on Thursday and received it a mere two days later! And this was with the free shipping. I'm amazed at the turn around time on that. I got the base model. I figured I can upgrade the hard drive/RAM at a later time if I need to. My iPod Touch and printer are still on their way.

I'm really enjoying it so far. This replaces my 1.42Ghz 14 inch iBook (which I'm giving to my girlfriend). I'm very surprised that that machine is still in great shape (no matter how many times I've accidentally smacked it) and still has an amazing battery life.

Anyone know why FedEx delivers packages on Saturdays, but they do not deliver international packages? Seems odd to me. My MBP has been sitting in the Warehouse waiting for me for a day and a half now.

Sorry for the noob questions:
I read the terms and conditions for the back to school offer and I'm a bit confused because users here are saying I need to cut the UPC out of the box of the iTouch and laptop but on the apple website it says for Apple online education stores or whatever they are called, that we just submit that rebate form online?

I just did my Online; It was painless and all you need is your Web Order Number and that's it.. You can probably submit it online as soon as your order goes through Apple's System.

Trotted down to Best Buy today and picked up my 13" MBP.

I already have a 2.4 Ghz white Macbook (early 2008). Gave the old Macbook to my daughter for school.

First, the migration assistant worked flawlessly. Everything transferred over to my MBP without issue.

I must admit I like the build quality and the battery life is outstanding.

I still haven't heard the fan come on.

This thing is sweet! Pick yours up today!

Shang-hello. :)

Update to post 543, 561.

All shipment travel activity is displayed in local time for the location
Jun 13, 2009 8:41 PM Left FedEx origin facility SHANGHAI CN
Jun 13, 2009 7:56 PM Picked up SHANGHAI CN Package received after FedEx cutoff
Jun 13, 2009 6:31 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx

Notice from Apple said ETA June 17, FedEx says June 18, I'm guessing because the package missed the cutoff time. :(

you are probably wrong, as you have to wait until it ships before you can submit your rebate.

also you only have to cut the UPC labels if you purchase from certain sites like a University bookstore.
