yea i 100% understand what you mean, we always buy our macs through a retailer (same prices though), its good to support the local business rather then go straight over there at least!

Im typing this reply from my iPhone!Welcome to the Apple world. Be careful though. Apple products tend to multiply very quickly! I started with the iPhone and within 3 months I had a iMac, Macbook, AppleTV and Time Capsule.
. Bschorr-- I got the free iPod even though I ordered online. I too would have gone to the apple store, but I only have sundays off and I don't want t spend my one free day on the road haha.

Does your FedEx tracking say it was shipped from Shanghai because mine doesn't. I ask you because I think all of ours will be in the same shipment and I'm wondering if I'm the only one's who didn't update.

The iPhone is such a great product so I decided to do some research on the macbooks. After watching the WWDC video I was convinced enough to go and purchase a brand new Macbook Pro. I look forward to working with my new 15" 2.53/320GB/4GB machine. I've been reading these forums constantly for the past week and I appreciate all the information you guys have provided me in making my decision. So thank you!

Yeah, but i am surprised that it has not moved since then. I would have expected that it would have arrived in the US by now. It is soon going to be Tuesday in China.

Odd thing is, if I look at the FedEx tracker on the web, I see it is still in China. But if I look at the Package Tracker Lite application it says it left China and has gone to South Korea, where it has already left from there.
Doesn't that app pull it's data from FedEx? Why is FedEx not telling me where exactly my package is?

Hey I ordered my new 13" MBP the day they got released (a week ago). The shipping status is still at Not Yet Shipped, I'm just wondering if anybody is in the same position as me. And btw I'm from Canada if that helps. Just need answers, cause I can't wait to get my baby.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but from the best of my knowledge/experience, this means that your laptop has not yet been built. Once it's been boxed, it'll change to Prepared for Shipment then soon after receiving its tracking number, it'll change to Shipped.
WEll mine is still in Transit from China, and has been since Friday at 2am. I'm getting my money back for 2-3 day shipping unless something changes today. It is more like 4-5 day shipping now.
The last update for my laptop was that it is in transit from Shanghai. The page hasn't updated since early Saturday (SanDiego Time)

Realistically, I don't expect it before Wednesday, but that doesn't stop me from checking the FedEx page once an hour or so.
I just have a browser window open on my iPhone, my PowerBook, my wife's laptop, my work PC....
According to Package Tracker Lite, my computer took 5 hours to fly to Japan and left there this morning.
Hopefully, they will clear customs in China & Alaska today. Then your laptop should go to the Memphis hub for distribution to Florida. Of course, this is speculation on my part
That would put it in the Southeast on Tuesday morning. Only another day or so to Florida. If you're close to a major city in FL, then it should be faster.

. My free printer left from the Memphis hub on the afternoon of the 12th and I got it bright and early the next day at 9:30 am!

Can you get a free printer after you initialy bought the free ipod and 2.8 macbook pro? Cause the Apple store I am getting mine from,said they dont have any printers at this time. and I would really like to get one!
I have no idea. This is my first MBP that I have bought and purchased it online so I don't know how it would work in a store if they don't have any printers :-(. Sorry, hopefully someone else will know the answer!
A few days ago my friend and I went to the Apple Store in Sterling Hgts., MI to get her 13" MBP and they told us that within 14 days we could come back with our receipt and get the $100 printer because they were out of stock at the time.
My new MBP is currently on the FedEx truck for delivery!! I hope they get here before like 5:00 tonight.
Ordered mine last week, had a fraud alert so didn't get cleared till tuesday morning. Shipped thursday, and has been "In transit - SHANGHAI CN" since thursday night.
