15" MacBook Pro Screens

My friend and i just purchased our brand new 15" MacBook Pros and i had a question about the screens: which one is better, the 9CA3 or the 9CA4? I searched the threads and i thought i read the 9CA4 was from the previous generation but i just wanted some confirmation. I found it kind of odd that we would have different screens despite ordering the exact same computer (base 15" model). Thanks for your time.

15" @ 3.06 made it to Anchorage just now. Took 'em long enough; I think mine was on the same pallet as a lot of folks'...

We picked up a brand new 13" Macbook TODAY.

It's for my daughter and damn it's a sweet little machine.

I have a pre-WWDC 15" uMBP that I bought on May 3, 2009 .... I know it's better than the 13" we just got ..... but man, I love that smaller size!!!!!!

The screen looks great to us, we went to the Apple Store and I told her to look over all the models before making a decision.

Originally she wanted the white Macbook - but she played with the trackpad on the 13" MBP and that sold her !!!!!!!!!

Wooo hooo!!! Mine has finally arrived in Anchorage, Alaska and is already "In transit" again!!!

It'll make it by the 18th... I'm pretty sure. I'm confident in FedEx's abilities once it's in the U.S.

Attached is a screen shot of my current FedEx Tracker.

That just means it hasn't been released from customs yet. Mine was in transit in AK for about 10 hours before it changed to "released for shipment." Now it's stuck on that.

Only thing is... I'm not sure if "In transit" means exactly what we think it does... take a look at what my Package Tracker App says... not how it says "Held at sort facility," that's got me a little perplexed.

Huzzah!

Is that local time or Alaska time? Because if it's Alaska time yours and mine arrived at the same time... but mine hasn't "Left FedEx Sort Facility." What client are you using for tracking?

iShip.com... local scan time.

Your departure time will probably depend on which hub yours is headed to.

Well apparently Memphis' hub is slower than the rest. Still sitting in AK now for over a day. It must be nice to have yours in and out of there in 2 hours.

That's counteracted by sitting an extra day in Shanghai, it's very nice but that's just how the truck shipments lined up.
I'll be waiting longer at the next stop probably.

I've realized over the past few days that even though packages can sit in one place for days at a time on their journey, FedEx is really good at standing by their initially predicted delivery date. After all, they set their shipment schedules, so they can probably trace the route of a package by the minute before it's even picked up!

What hub is closest to Connecticut? Newark?

I'm not sure, but probably... if you ordered an iTouch or a printer you can get a general idea of where it'll travel through.
