I've still not had any movement from Alaska since 2:51 PM Alaska time yesterday afternoon. Estimated Delivery still stands at tomorrow, June 18th by 4:30.

Attached is the FedEx Tracker.

*sigh*

MacBook Pro not ordered yesterday. Dad's credit card rolls over on Friday, so I'm staying over Thursday night, and we'll order it in the morning. No BTO options, just the 2.53 GhZ model, no extra RAM or HD space. So... shouldn't be shipping from china. Get the expedited shipping and BAM! Happiness. :)

Same here, I am still expecting my MBP to get here by the estimated date. In other news, my Time Capsule is on its way to be delivered today!

Lots of line updates yesterday. And, my 17" MBP BTO seems to be in NJ as of this writing. I'm guessing the Intl release was made post-departure from AK.

In my original receipt from Apple, the shipping estimate was 5-7 business days from the date the item shipped. It shipped on June 13 (a Saturday) so, starting to count from the 15th, 5-7 business days would mean I should expect the package to arrive anywhere from June 19 - 23.

An update I received from Apple when my item shipped gave an estimate of June 17 as a delivery date; however, it appeared the package missed the FedEx cutoff in Shanghai and FedEx estimates June 18 as a delivery date. Notwithstanding, June 18th is actually a whole day early from the lowest number of days for the item to arrive.

If it seems like it's taking longer than normal, it may just be a psychological thing. This is my first new laptop in over seven years (previously a happy owner of a 667 G4 PowerBook DVI, circa 2002). It's important to not overlook that an estimate of 5-7 business days isn't 5-7 days. And, we live in a world where we have almost instantaneous access to any piece of information we want. So, when the FedEx tracking information is "stuck" on Shanghai for 3 days we start to get itchy and begin to call FedEx and Apple and inquire what is going on. Trust me, I've been tempted before. :)

Patience is a virtue. Now, where in the hell is my new laptop!

Well, I'm very impressed. The estimated date was today by 10:30 AM, but when I saw that it had only left Anchorage, AK last night at 7:30, I was disappointed and almost gave up on them. However, it made it to south Georgia on time and I'm posting from my new MBP!

What was your estimated delivery? If it was the 18th... that would be sick because mine could come today, too.

The 18th. I went to sleep last night with the thing just arriving in Memphis knowing it wouldn't make it here by sunup, and woke up to check it this morning and saw it was on the truck for delivery.

I got my refurbished macbook pro yesterday. It came earlier than I anticipated. I played with it last night for a while but since it is my first mac so the transition from pc to mac will take a while to get used to it.

I was so excited to get a mac, but now that I've it, it seems like just another laptop: no more excitement

there is little noise when I start up the mac, I wonder if this is for all the mac computer products. One thing that I didn't like is the font display on websites: it is just not so nice and smooth like windows. On some of the websites, it seems so bad that it was hurting my eyes and I had no problem on windows. I guess, I'll get used to it. and yeh it gets hot really quickly

yea, my package made it to tucson 20 min ago. Can it get on a truck and delivered today?? a day early. i hope so.. And I really like http://iship.com tracking results better. They seem to be more accurate. The fedex online tracker seems to be omitting certain lines, as iship seems to just display the RAW tracking info.

I seem to be in a similar situation, here. I ordered a BTO on the 12th (with 1-3 days estimated for building) and paid the extra $18 for 2-3 day shipping. The store said that the latest delivery date would be Monday, the 22nd.

I got an email from Apple on the 16th saying it shipped, and would deliver on the 19th. Now, FedEx has the estimated delivery date as the 23rd...which is the day I leave town for a two week vacation.

The package is listed as going out "International Economy Distribution"; when I called FedEx, they claimed that this was a 4 day service, at best. Apple says they're "looking into it."

Does anyone have any advice?

My MBP must be coming with yours...mine says the same thing! I feel like it was just sitting in China for two days despite being ready to ship. :(

I as well am with your group. I actually got a shipment exception that moved my delivery date of Wednesday by 1030AM to Friday by 430PM. Major bummer, but I have patience.

Nano came yesterday, Iphone 3.0 today, Colcasac tomorrow, and MBP friday. good week.
