After thinking about it for about three years and doing research until my head felt like it would burst for about the last 18 months... I have finally placed an order :D:D:D

Refurbished rMBP 2.3, 8GB, 256GB

Sooooooo excited to finally be getting it! :D

It's arrived! :D

How are the refurb rMBPs? They coming in with the hardware fixes (screen/overheating)?

So far so good. I've got Samsung screen and SSD. It had 10.8.2 but straight away looked for updates and found a bundle including 10.8.3 and an SMC update which it said would help with scrolling issues.

I still haven't received mine (Ordered on the 3rd) :D

It shows "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" on the Shipment Status page.

Just ordered a new 2012 15" rMPB 2.6Ghz, 512GB SSD, and 8GB Ram. Should be here tomorrow from amazon. Crossing my fingers for a Samsung SSD and Monitor.

My 2.6/8GB/512 refurb arrived today. No refurb lottery upgrades but it has a samsung screen and SSD. I wasn't going to check but curiosity got the best of me. Great computer so far!

received my macbook pro with retina display a few days ago, am loving it. the retina really makes a difference. this should satisfy my computer needs for atleast a few years.

Did you see any issues on it.

The 15" mbpr refurb i got had a spinning noise, sent it back and got a 2013 new one, its silent. Guess they don't check them to good. If you get one that someone has sent back for change of mind you are lucky. bit of a lottery.

Exchange my rMBP at Best Buy due to loose Thunderbolt ports. My first unit had the LG screen.

New replacement one came with Samsung, so I guess it was worth it.

heh... i just ordered a refurb 15" rmbp 2.6ghz/16gb ram/512gb ssd for $2289.... arrives on Wed... yay lottery :p

i guess i'll shell out the full price for a new one if there's issues, but figure i'd at least try to save money first.

After getting a 13" MBPR i7 3.0GHz from a 15" MBPR 2.3GHZ, I am going back to the 15" but this time the 2.7/16/512. Got a killing deal for it too and should arrive next Tuesday, cant wait and hoping its a Samsung Screen but if not no big deal, cuz the deal is amazing :D

Same here after using a 13" mbp for the last 4 years, the 13" retina although gorgeous, was underwhelming. I returned it and got a maxed out 15" refurb and much happier :) The extra $15 for quicker shipping is worth it haha

Is this normal for the GT 650M not to appear in the 'About this Mac'?

EDIT: NVM. Figured it out.

Refurb 13in rMBP 2.9 i7 with 512 SSD $1780

I could not resist this refurb. For $100 more than i5 2.6, I get a faster processor and 2x the storage space.

I dont usually buy a refurb but will see how it goes. If there is a problem I will return and just go new.

Now gotta figure how to check the panel revision.

Got an

Macbook Pro 15" i7 2,3 GHz Mid 2012 - Highres + Antiglare + 16GB RAM + 128GB SSD.
3 Weeks old - bought it from a familiar customer whos swtich to mac wasn't satisfying him .. price - 1000€ (as a note: I put quite a lot of work in his doctor's office setting up all kind of things..) Thats like a steal!

Ill hand my "old" Macbook Pro 13 late 2011 over to my GF.
Now I have an MP15 AND iMac27 late 2011... thats to much :p .. think I'm gonna sell the iMac

I received it today.

I have no idea how on 13in rMBP to determine LCD version.

It came pre-installed with 10.8.3. The scrolling seems very fluid.

FYI: after starting up it was charged to 99%, I finished charge to 100%. The battery said 2 cycles.

finally got my ME665LL/A

I'm a bit disappointed as i loss the screen lottery :(

Got the new LG "version 2" screen and also a San Disk SSD :(

came with 10.8.2

updated to 10.8.3 right away and the fans spun hard for a quick 2-3 seconds.

not even going to bother to worry about the IR, just going to use it, and if it happens it happens, if the new Mac pros with Haswell is nice I will just get that and sell this before the warranty ends, if I dont do that i will just buy Apple Care.

:apple:

15.4" MBP Retina with 2.7 GHZ, 16GB, and 768 GB SSD.
I didn't want to push my luck with the 2.8 charging this on the company credit card.
I was given the OK to buy from my boss and I'm not waiting for the Haswell refresh. Last time I declined to purchase new equipment, the purchasing budget was used for other things (emergency purchase) an I was left without an updated laptop for over a year. I learned my lesson to wait for the latest and greatest. Get it while you can.
This was a work bonus so it will be my personal laptop. I guess I'll have to buy my own applecare.

Anyone still ordering 13" MBP? Seems like all 13" are Airs or rMBPs...

I have a June 2012 13". They are great machine except for the resolution.
I have mine with 16GB of RAM, a 512GB M4 SSD in the main drive bay and a 1TB 7200 rpm in the cdrom bay. You can't do that with an AIR. Upgrading them was fairly cheap.
It is just about perfect except for the resolution. I use the USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt all the time.

You probably already know I just got Mid 2012 rMBP last monday. I really love this very much retina display is so awfully beautiful!!! I can't take my eyes off it. :apple:
