That's a new hardware feature. With fall coming your MBP doubles as a leaf blower.
My problem with the ipad 3 is the ipad 4 was released shortly after to fix issues with it. IMO, if a replacement was released that quickly, the ipad 3 should never have been released.
Recieved my rMBP this morning, read somewhere that the ML update is free for new hardware. Is this true or BS, because it's not showing as free for me in the App Store.

What OS is in it? I received my refurbished rMBP a couple of weeks ago and double-checked to see that I have 10.8.5 in it.
Your machine should have already Mountain Lion, what is the version of the software it has? You can check on the menu
Tues is only 3 days away. New MBPs might be announced. It may reduce the prices of older models.
The wait gets unbearable, it stretches the nerves, even for the most patient people... they can't stand it any longer, they must release the tension. The only way to release it is to buy an outdated MBP, 1 day before Haswell arrives
I just hope is not like the last event, with no announcements whatsoever on rMBP's; many people here will be very unhappy if that happens!
I will be very disappointed. I'm a doubter and don't really believe it would be announced, but I'm very hopeful. I think my hope is slowly turning into belief which is really dumb because even if everyone believes it, nothing hints at a release.

Really? This is quite different than WWDC. There is every reason for it to be announced on Tuesday. There's nothing we really need to see in order to be hinted/reassured at a release.
In what way is this different? We heard rumors both times; no info from apple; all speculation including "it just makes sense". Why do you expect more this time?

HAHAHAHA. I don't even own a mac and this will be my first one. My current PC laptop is a 4 year old crappy HP and its on the way out the door. I need a laptop now, but I can wait till Tuesday to find out.

That's hilarious! I've waited since February and if it's released this Tuesday, I'm expecting to wait another month - worst case scenario - in case they have shipping delays.
Best case, will be at least a week. I'm going for a BTO so that would have to be built and shipped to my local Apple store. I travel during the week, so I'll have to wait until Friday for it.
Even if rMBP is released on Tuesday, I won't get it until 10/31 or some time in November at the earliest. ugh!
