yea def keep the mini as the main computer, its a royal pain in the butt trying to plug in and unplug cables especially when ur going to uni everyday and stuff (its what i do argh). get used to it after a while i guess..

you could look nerdy and have two keyboards/mice BAHA..

ugh, why does it say it arrived in IN twice? it still says a delivery date of today by 4:30 pm... i hope it's just their system not updating appropriately . after having it in china for 5 days not doing anything, i'm ready to receive my first mbp.

Just got off the phone with FedEx... they told me that my computer probably won't be delivered today. And I cannot even tell you how mad that makes me. He said "The only way it looks like it will get there is if it gets to the delivery center later and they are able to make an afternoon delivery." If I don't get this computer today I am calling Apple and getting my shipping money back because that is just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. The estimated ship date did not change ONE time since it was shipped and then the day it was supposed to be delivered they aren't going to get it to me... what kind of BS is that FedEx?

According to FedEx, my computer arrived in Newark at 2:20 AM, but that is the last status update... so I don't know if it's on its way to North Haven or if it's still sitting in Newark... As an aside the estimated delivery is still set for today before 4:30 PM. So hopefully they'll get it here today, LOL.

Even still, it is quite annoying that they didn't change my estimated delivery. Just seeing that "June 18 by 4:30" is giving me false hope

Arrived in EWR at 2:35am on June 17, left at 7:16pm, arrived at the ROC sort by 7:56am on June 18 and was out for delivery the same day. (Giving hope to those whose statuses haven't updated yet.)

I called FedEx this morning for this issue. They said it was delayed and will be delivered tomorrow because there was "volcanic activity" somewhere between China and Alaska. Uhhhh huh sure. Anyway, she reassured me it wouldn't be delivered today and told me tomorrow... now I can't seem to get my FedEx tracking # to work. Ugh. This is such a hassle.

Off topic: My iPhone is acting up. It shows no trace of service, or it'll go on Edge after a while but as soon as I do something on it as open a program or push e-mails, it goes back to the five bars and "AT&T" but no E or 3G. Is there a site where you can check down times? I restarted/toggled on/off.

So what are you going to do if you order from Apple again and they want to use Fedex? Make them use UPS? I don't think so.

When ordering online we just have to deal with the shipping companies. There is no avoiding it. All you can do is hope that everything works out fine. Sometimes they do....sometimes they don't.

I would be upset to if I paid for the expedited shipping and they weren't able to get it here any faster. So you are better off just taking the regular shipping and wait. If you want it right now, you are better off going to a local store and picking one up.

When I said that I meant that I would just never buy from Apple online again. I wasn't implying I would make them use UPS because I know I couldn't. But If I could choose, UPS would be my choice.

Looks like a lot of us were on the 6/17 Anchorage shipment. Ordered my 13" MBP on 6/11, original delivery estimate was 6/18 by 10:30, which was then bumped to 6/19 4:30. So glad it's actually coming in today!
