I think I found mine.

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS81

Departure Scan was 23:58 Oct 26. So if this plane left 2 hours after, it might be onboard. The only flight that left Shanghai since Oct 25.

Does this mean UPS pre-scanned arrival as soon as the item is onboard? Or does it mean the package just arrived at some warehouse in Shanghai?

Shanghai, China

Mine is travelling with yours :-D

Got the same scans and same times.

I bought a 13" Retnia Haswell with 8 GB RAM, 256 MB SSD and 2.4 GHz Dual Core i5 at my local Apple Store yesterday. It's my first Mac, so it should be interesting.

It's good that I bought a standard configuration at the store, since the wireless didn't work on the first computer they brought out.

I followed the Waiting for Haswell thread for about two months, and decided to wait for the update. I would like to thank the contributors to that thread.

I previously went to my local Apple Store try various aspects of the Ivy Bridge, since I was relatively confident the display and keyboard wouldn't change.

just bought a rmbp has well 15" 2.6ghz, 1TB, 16gb ram model (maxed out) from the fifth avenue nyc store yesterday.

I was told by advisors both at the store when I called, and online - that this model is built to order only, apparently not because I walked in last night and they had two in stock. I was totally ready to wait a 10 days as suggested for delivery but I guess it really paid to check the store!

I previously had a launch 15" 2.3ghz, 8gb ram, 500gb version and this new one absolutely blows it out of the water. Haven't had chance to check gfx yet (I play mostly diablo 3 on the mac and bootcamp various pc titles like outlast, gta4 and amnesia through steam) but performance on creative apps like adobe cc, logic pro, ableton live is seriously astonishing.

the font choice/graphics optimization in mavericks is really making the display shine more than I remember from last year's model, and there is no lag whatsoever on safari which was my main gripe from before.

Incredibly happy with this machine!

Apple stores sometimes stock max spec devices. Our local stores in Toronto sometimes do this, probably at their own discretion.

I have a 2.3 haswell mbp and I have been on it for about 3 hours out of the box, the battery was at 86% out of the box. 3 hours later its at 27%. I was not doing any demanding work just surfing is this normal? oh and intalling and downloading movies.

I had intended to buy a 2013 13" base MBPr. Then my University IT store dropped the price of the 2012 model to $845. I couldn't pass that up. I was a little worried about lag but haven't had any issues so far. Great machine.

Just bought the fully upgraded 13" rMBP. First mac since I sold off my Powerbook 12" and 15" a couple of years ago, first non-work-provided laptop since then as well.

16GB RAM for a few reasons (virtual machines as an example, wish they could have put a quad core in the 13" but I'm not dealing with a 15" again.) Went back and forth between 512 and 1TB for a while, I don't want to hassle with external drives (thunderbolt or otherwise) if I can help it. I may never fill the drive, but I'm guessing I will hit 513GB between now and when I next buy a machine, so... why not. Leaves the SDXC card slot free. The i7, that's probably the real waste, the i5 likely would have been fine.

Now I'm just hoping I don't have any ghosting issues worth returning it over. Anxious about coming back to OS X, but also excited.

Ordered my 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina today online.

UPS tracker is back. But if my unit is in that plane that just stopped at Anchorage, they didn't reassemble the cargo there. No AK scan.

All the flights with this route seem to only stop long enough for refuelling and such. So that might mean nothing at all.

My FedEx tracking is weird. Somehow it took an entire day to go to Tokyo from Shanghai, yet there are no FedEx flights between the two.

I ordered a 15" / 2.6 GHz / 16 GiB RAM / 512 GB SSD

On launch day, pretty soon after the announcement, I ordered a 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro with the 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, turbo boost up to 3.8 GHz, 16 GiB of RAM, 512 GB PCIe SSD flash storage, US English keyboard, gigabit ethernet adapter.

This is almost a top-of-the-line machine. To make it absolutely top-of-the-line, all it would need is the 1 TB hard drive, but I decided that was a waste of money.

It has shipped, but it is still in China.

I have waited so long for this update. I have been waiting since before WWDC in June. When WWDC rolled around, it already felt like I had been waiting ages.

My current MBP has 2 to 3 hours of battery life and USB 2.0, so the 8 hour battery life and USB 3.0 should be really awesome.

Just Ordered

New 15-inch: 2.3GHz with Retina display (Quoted 6th/7th November Delivery) and very excited. This will be something of a leap of faith for me as it'll replace my old faithful 13" 2006 White Macbook that as served me so well over the years and been the best and most used item I've ever bought now running Lion with 2GB Ram and 320GB of Storage she way out performs the model she originally was.
I just hope I get as much pleasure, enjoyment and length of service from my new purchase as this machine as, will I?

Which version of Logic are you using?

Did yours also just get a departure update from Dubai? :D

I love the trips our Macbooks take. Shanghai -> Dubai -> What's next? :p

Got a question — about to buy a new 13 mb pro today. Is it cheaper to do it in store or online? Because I know they have you put in the zip code when you do it online so they affix the taxes to that, but i don't know if it is actually cheaper one way or another.

Also, is it quick to set up the financing option in store? I would probably put down a few hundred bucks today then finance the remaining. And, do I need to purchase apple care today, or do i have those 30 days to do that? (i'm going to do it, but all in one day is a little daunting.)

Thanks.
