Just recieved my refurb 15" MBPr / 2.6GHz / 16GB / 1TB SSD.

Arrived nicely packed, other than the white box....you'd never know it was a refurb! I thoroughly inspected it for any imperfections and found now.

If you're on the fence with going with a refurb....go for it! i don't see any downside to buying refurb.

Can I download any official apple diagnostics to have them, just in case of a problem?
For rmbp 15' late 2013.

I agree. I bought my June 2012 rMBP refurb last September, got a fine computer, saved some money, and it came with 16GB RAM instead of the advertised 8GB.

I bought my iPad 3 32GB refurb when the iPad 4 was released. The 3 was discounted $130, IIRC. Refurbs are a great way to go with Apple products.

So I finally joined the retina family, with a brand new 13'' (2.6 GHz, 8/256). Coming from a 15'' with high-res anti-glare display, I have to say the screen is stunning. Furthermore the thermal design is impressive. I ran it at 400% CPU load (i.e. full load) for a few minutes, and it stays much cooler and much more quiet than the old 15''. Battery seems to do great as well.

Anything not to like? It is somewhat obvious that the iGPU slightly underpowered for the scaled resolutions. Not a big deal for me, but it is notable.

I will see how it holds up in the next weeks, but so far it is doing great.

I received a brand new 13" 2.6 Ghz, 8 Gb RAM and 512 Gb SSD. I just came from Windows so I have to learn a lot now. I need to write on NTFS drives. Which is better, Paragon or Tuxera?

Hey.

If I want to find a refurbished Mbp with the 1GB 650m card, or a new one with the 1GB 650m that is available for pickup in NYC now, how would I go about to find one? A refurbished Iris Pro could also be considered.

Does the individual Apple stores hold any refurbished items or does it always mean you have to order from Apples Online store?

Thanks in advance.

Another 13" rMBP owner here, this is my second day with it and I'm made up with it...only 8Gb/256Gb but I love it and the display.......beautiful!

Happy days!

just bought and received a refurb'd max 15rmbp .. ordered it yesterday and received it today :)

Same here. Coming from Windows and I'm glad I finally made the switch. OSX is so damn simple and intuitive without all the fuss. There is definitely a learning curve, but I'm learning pretty quick. Loving it so far.

I've bought Anton of macs but this is the first refurb .. Kind of nervous about it when it comes to resale which I do quite often

Not sure about the refurbs in store, but you should find plenty of the new 750m card equipped MBPs in store...

Got my refurb!

Got my refurb 2012 15.4 baby today and it's well lets just say AWESOME! No flaws what so ever. Thank you Apple!

Got my new MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch (late 2013), 2.6GHz i7, 16GB RAM & 1TB SSD. Flippin' awesome.

It took exactly one week from day of order to day of delivery. Delivered from Shanghai, China to Sydney, Australia.

I have the same exact make, it's an awesome computer! I love it! It's amazing how smooth it runs, how fast it is, and the battery is great compared to any windows laptop I've ever used! Definitely worth the money, in my opinion!

Ordered my refurbished 2013 15" 2.3 i7 with 750m graphics card last Friday, received it today. I wasn't expecting to be so excited, but when the doorbell rang I found myself sprinting towards the door to sign for it.

First observations. This is one beautiful, unblemished laptop, and as many others have reported it would easily be mistaken for brand new.

The machine absolutely flies, the responsiveness is amazing coming from a 2008 17" MBP.

Unfortunately, I seem to have received an LG display. After running a couple quick tests to check for ghosting issues, I can confirm that my refurb definitely has an issue with image retention. Could other owners chime in on their experience with an LG display retina? Is the ghosting issue apparent in everyday usage?

I have 14 days to decide whether I want to stick it out with this unit, request a repair and hope for a Samsung display, or simply return for a refund.

I haven't been keeping up with the October 2013 MBP's, but when I ordered and got my refurbished rMBP 15" late last summer, Samsung was the screen to avoid in the screen lottery and LG was all the rage. Has that now been reversed?

BTW, mine is a Samsung screen, and though I was initially disappointed because it wasn't the then-preferred LG, it has been great so far.

My recollection is the other way around, the Samsung was the more desirable due to its lack of IR, while the LG's, even though were more white, were prone to IR

Is your machine a late 2013 or the early 2013 version? If were you would return and re-order, perhaps you get a better one.

You know--you're exactly right. It was my Lenovo ThinkPad T500 from several years back that LG was all the rage and Samsung was the one you didn't want. I had a Samsung on that one. :)

On my June 2012 15" rMBP, I do have the LG. However, I have seen no issues with IR.

Thanks for correcting that. My memory is rapidly slipping in my older age.

It's the late 2013. Re-ordering is another option I will consider.

Jumped into the deep end and ordered a maxed out rmbp 15 off the refurb store.
Haven't had a Mac since my iBook g4 (which is still in use). Coming from a POS emachines walmart laptop that has surprisingly served me well.
