I actually had the 2015 rMBP but decided to up it and get the big boy. Its totally overkill for me but I rather have it than need it.

Did you order a sleeve yet? I'm trying to find a good one that won't break the bank.

Hi all

Just had delivered an early 2015 13 inch rMBP, 3.1ghz, 16gb Ram, and 512gb SSD from EBay, has only had 9 battery cycles so still ha stage new laptop smell!!

This is replacing a 2012 15 inch retina pro,

Very impressed with it so far, it will primarily be used for Lightroom and image processing, I had a quick go and it had no problem processing some large files. One of the main reasons to purchase it was the ability to plug in 4K at 60hz. I plugged in my Dell p2715q, it worked like a charm, even with some high resolution photos, I couldn't detect any lag with I was pleased about, it was getting warm though.

Certainly looking forward to using this more!
How does it compare to your 2012 Macbook Pro Retina in terms of running OSX and UI lag and overall performance ? Is it the same or better ?

I was looking at skins last night. They wanted $45 for both the top and bottom. Almost bought but sat on it wondering how durable they actually are

Arrived yesterday evening. Loving it!

Not to stray off the topic of the thread but I ordered a top and bottom skin for my 15" Pro and it should be here tomorrow or Friday. I will let you know how the quality is once I get it.

Thanks, please do. I ordered a top and bottom also yesterday. Where did you order from?

Apple just shipped my Macbook Pro with FedEx. Not that I'm not happy, I prefer them over UPS but I thought Apple had a contract with UPS and only used them?

I think I´m made for Mac´s as my primary computer at home. I´m back at an MacBook Pro 15" retina, with 2,5Ghz i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and R9 M370X that I got today, after shipping yesterday from Belgium to Norway. A desktop and a MacBook Pro 13" retina just didn't do it, too much hassle with two computers for everyday use.

^^^^ Nice!!!! I swear I am in love with mine.

I just picked up my computer to clean under it and I found a nice little dent in the bottom. Just my luck. It's going back and I may just hold onto my old one until a redesign or processer update comes along. How disappointing.

Aren't the skins for the bottom of the devices not recommended? I would think the plastic on the skin would retain heat which would throttle the device more. The skin on the top of the laptop shouldn't be an issue.

There was a user that recently posted a thread in this very sub-forum and received 3 models with defects, and I believe two had dents like this in the images.

That's terrible luck, I'm sorry you have the hassle of now dealing with that.

Two weeks ago, I bought the 15" 256GB MBP. Today I decided to exchange it for the 512GB model since they are on sale at BestBuy and they also applied my Rewards points to my account for the 256GB MBP purchase. With my $60 in reward certs, I paid $2314 for my MBP.

It took two weeks for the BestBuy in my area to finally get the the 512GB model in stock.

Well I had a late 2013 rMBP and it took a nasty fall a couple of weeks ago. It was covered under my renter's insurance so I write this today from my brand new early 2015 rMBP. Sometimes accidents are awesome! :D:p:D

I'm about to retire my Early 2008 Macbook Pro (pre unibody). 2.4ghz, 250gb ssd, and its on its 4th battery. For update and update held it out, me thinking the next one would bring redesign. But it's no big deal. I'm getting a 15" Macbook Pro retina base model and plan on using it until revision 2 of the redesign. ~7.5 years is solid for a computer used every day!

Received mine a couple days ago. So far no issues, just a couple things that I've noticed. The palm rest is a lot bigger than I realized. The buckle on my watch will be an issue scraping it. I looked into a guard but Apple says not to use any guard or skin because it can damage the lcd. The other thing I've noticed is that when the computer is off or sleeping the trackpad doesn't get power and I'm used to just tapping it to wake it, not going to happen now. This isn't really an issue, rather just changing habit.
