Received mine a couple days ago. So far no issues, just a couple things that I've noticed. The palm rest is a lot bigger than I realized. The buckle on my watch will be an issue scraping it. I looked into a guard but Apple says not to use any guard or skin because it can damage the lcd. The other thing I've noticed is that when the computer is off or sleeping the trackpad doesn't get power and I'm used to just tapping it to wake it, not going to happen now. This isn't really an issue, rather just changing habit.

Is the palm rest somehow bigger than before because I didn't notice my watch hitting it before either but now I totally do. Interesting point about the trackpad.

Ordered up a 15" MacBook Pro, specification in picture. Departed Germany and no tracking update for over 24 hours. I hope its still on course for delivery on the 16th in the UK.

Got my refurbished MBP Retina (2014, 13" & i5 2,6GHz) a week ago. It replaced my MBA (2014 too). I wanted a 2014 one since I wanted to keep the 256GB SSD I got from the Air & I knew the 2015 model wouldn't accept it.

And I'm totally in love with it. The sentence "Once you go to retina, you can't never get back" makes so much sense! The display is just gorgeous. The battery isn't as good as the Air but that's legit and I knew it. It warms more too, but I have some power to play with now!
No problems so far, I'm totally satisfied in the refurb store (The MBP was like brand new, perfect condition & helped me save few hundred euros).

Long life to the refurb store! :D

I'm not sure it it is bigger, I just didn't notice before.

If any of you haven't used it before I recommend getting BetterTouchTool. It's free and offers ForceTouch custom actions.

Just ordered the 13" basemodel, was initially going for a older model while I wait for the 15" skylake, but got a good deal. Besides, I'll might as well get used to the new touchpad while I take my first stumbling steps into the Mac universe.. Also ordered the 'switching from windows to mac - missing manual' to help me along the road :)

Just updated my 13inch Mid 2009 2.5Ghz, 8Gb Mem , 256Gb SSD/750Gb SATA, with a 15inch Retina Mid 2014 (8 months old) , Quadcore 2.8Ghz, 16Gb mem , 1Tb SSD , GT750 2Gb graphics.

Thing is a beast although still feels weird using it due to the size of it compared to the 13inch,

Hi guys. Just replaced my old Macbook Pro 13" retina late 2012 model with new Macbook Pro 15" retina (base model). After side by side comparison I've got a feeling that the screen on 13" is much better. Brightness on 13" is better and the 15" feels a little bit "yellowish". Is that possible?

Mine is bright & crisp.

Try calibrate your display.

Got the entry-level 13-inch (Retina) MacBook Pro today. First Mac ever.

Still not sure if I'm going to keep it. I really like the design. The display is very nice. But it cost me €1400 ($1600 compared to the regular $1300 price in the US).

And Windows, honestly, works just as nice nowadays.

You will hang on to it once you use it.

After three years of using maxed out Airs and a short detour to a new Macbook I am back on a 15" 2.5Ghz 2014. A very positive experience is that Apple Remote Desktop works so great. I thought the application itself was sluggish, but now with a 15" on same 100MB connection, even wifi Remote Desktop is near instant.

Just ordered a rMBP 15" top model with standard options. Bit of a spur of the moment buy but upgrading from my Late 2011 MBP.

See it comes with SSD now, well I assume that's what the flash memory is?

I mean with me, not released or anything lol.

Just upgraded from a Late 2011 with SSd and 8mb RAM.

OMG, the screen is incredible! Immediately noticed the difference.

Just sharing my excitement again :)

Happy days :)

Just ordered the EVO 850 500GB and an Optibay for my 1TB to go into my early 2011 15", pretty psyched..Hopefully that will boost it enough for me to wait till 2016 :) Now looking for which 16gb ram modules to upgrade it with....

I got rid of it. It's an awesome machine... but my current notebook still works very well and I cannot 'justify' (for myself) a nearly $1600 notebook purchase basically 'just for fun'.

If my current machine breaks down, however, I might very well reconsider a Retina MacBook Pro (and, hopefully, profit of a stronger EUR/USD exchange rate).

Sorry to hear that, but it's good that you came to right decision for yourself.
