On my third 15" rMBP, (I feel bad I had to get another exchange, but the last one would just go black screen of death even after shut-downs, resets, and even reformatting and installing new OS X.) Anyway, I took it to the Apple Store and got the 2.5GHz version instead of trying another exchange for the 2.8GHz. The reps on the phone were a bit more confusing than usual, they said I was not within my return date, then he looked at the calendar and said
"oh you are, but we cannot exchange this you'll have to go in for a repair only." I wasn't super keen on that, so I asked another rep if exchanging it would be possible, he said for sure but that I could only do a return online, then asked if I had the shipping box still (and I do not) so he said, "oh, okay then take it to the store." o_O lol
None of them were rude at all or anything, just a little confusing... Anyhoo I took it to an actual Apple store, and sure enough the first guy I talked to helped me out. I exchanged the broken MB and got 200 bucks back since I downgraded, (I'm thinking I'll put that money towards the new iPad or iPhone later this year.) I haven't opened this MB up yet, but I'm really hoping he doesn't have any issues. If it does I will know for sure the Universe hates me. lol ;)

Kal.

I just got my Late 2013 rMBP. I'm coming from an Early 2011 MBP. Wow at this screen! I have my old MBP side by side, and I can't believe how bad looking the screen on my old MBP was. I don't think I could ever go back to a pixelated screen again...on my phone or computer.

After lots of being played around with my bank and the fraud prevention team, I finally I have my 15".

Currently looking for a hard shell case and sleeve...

Just got my 2015 13" rMBP BTO today (base but with 16GB RAM) and am super happy with it. Got lucky and got an A02A panel, and it is perfect. Also loving the new trackpad as well. Looking forward to many great years from this one.

I must have missed it, where did you find best type of lcd?

I made the mistake of reading this long thread while I was awaiting my rMBP's arrival where people were swapping out 2015 13" rMBPs multiple times (one person 8 times!) due to poor displays. From the thread, it seems that the A02A screens have been much better than the A029 displays.

I was hoping I would receive one with the A02A, and I did. Of course, it is quite possible that an A029 would have been fine too, but the thread had me worried about what I was going to get.

Here's the thread if interested: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/would-you-return-this-13-rmbp.1858982/

Bought a rMBP 13", it only has 8GB of ram since it cannot be upgraded, I made a mistake uh? Coming from a 2010 MBP the retina is amazing though.

I'm visually impaired and my college will get me a laptop so I requested a 13" rMBP with 8gb of RAM and 256 SSD

Just got my maxed out Pro 15" refurb... So happy :D 2.6GHz i7, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM, Nvidia 750M. I went for the 750M as it has been seen to have better gaming performance at the moment as it is currently optimised.

Well after much hemming and hawing I bought a 2014 13" Pro from a seller on Amazon. I went with the Pro that I needed over the Air that I wanted mainly due to being able to fit more on a scaled Retina screen. Came with the 8GB RAM, 512 drive, and AppleCare till 2017. All for 1200.

I'm upgrading my personal 2008 UniBody Pro.

I hate being responsible... really wanted that Air. LOL

Just ordered a March 2015 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro, 2.7Ghz, 16Gb RAM and 256Gb SSD. 1729 $CAD instead of 2039 $CAD. Supposed to be mine on monday! :)

First post, and it feels good. Why? I just got my first MacBook ever, and my first computer that wasn't a repair project like my 2010 iMac was. I picked up the Early 2015 13" wish the 256GB of storage and I'm very happy with it so far, especially with the battery life .I love that it doesn't slow down when outputting to a second full HD display!

Sick! I hate how much the difference in price is between us and the US.

Ho shoot! I didn't though about providing feedback! The FedEx delivery guy rang at my door on Monday at 2pm. The computer is clean and neat. Everything is running smoothly. I love it! Maybe even a little more than the 15 inch one... I first though I wouldn't like the smaller screen. Hell I was wrong. Now I look back at the 15 inch one and I think it is too big... As of working on it, when I'm at my desk, I have an external monitor so everything is fine. But when I'll be in class, the 13 inch will fit perfectly on my desk :) And that Force Touch TrackPad. I took something like 5 minutes to accommodate myself to it. Now it's just odd if I click on the 15 inch one's. I'll keep an eye on the battery life for the next few days ;)

But yes, the price here in Canada is ridiculously high compared to the one in the US...

Hi guys,

Yesterday, 15th July, I ordered a base model 15'' Macbook Pro, 256GB SSD. The estimated delivery date quoted yesterday was 20 - 22 July. However, I will be leaving the UK on the 21st so I would need it to arrive on the 20th. I checked my order status today and it is still at 'processing items' so I am wondering if it is likely that it will arrive on the 20th or should I cancel it and buy it when I return? I live in London by the way, so it shouldn't be too difficult to deliver if it's in a UK warehouse.

Thanks,
Edward

Edit: UK mail says it will be delivered on the 20th, hope all goes to plan...

Received my second Macbook Pro 13", a huge upgrade from my 2009 model! Can't believe how much has changed, never thought 6 years would make a huge difference. Finally able to see all the fuss about SSD and boy wished I would have gotten one sooner.
