Just ordered a brand new fully loaded 15' rMBP on eBay. It was listed for $2150 and my 2000 offer was accepted. The seller only has a 4 feedback score, but the recent feedback is for MacBooks, and I guess eBay has some protections if I get screwed.

My HP Envy specs are comparable to this MacBook, and it cost significantly less, but with 2 hour battery life and a display viewing angle that's really only good head-on, it's the kind of laptop that belongs on a desk and close to a power source, which sorta defeats the purpose of having one.

I hope I made the right decision. I'm all iOS for mobile, but this will be my first Mac.

Just received my 13" rMBP tonight & it's wonderful!
I owned a mac @ 15-20 years ago but went to windows because of my business. I had my last HP laptop for 5 years and I never mastered the trackpad and keyboard. I switched back to mac for the superior hardware, the more refined OS X, and the mac ecosystem.

Well the eBay seller was legit. My rMBP arrived today brand new and unopened. Coconut battery says load cycles 1 - is that what it should be?

I almost freaked out when I went to 'about this mac' and saw no AMD listed, but found it under system report. I normally hate trackpads, but this one is indeed as nice as everyone says it is. Beautiful display! The brightness at 75% is my Envy at 100%, and it gets quite a bit brighter from 75-100! I've not done much with it yet, just few web searches, an app download, and have updates downloading now, but I haven't heard the fan yet.

It's gonna take a minute for me to get used to OSX and figure out how I want things set up, but I'm sure I'll be off and running no time.

I got the 15' 2.5ghz / 512GB version with AMD

Well, after a couple of months of dealing with a worsening battery and slow computer as well as exuberantly warm running fans, I tired enough of my Samsung to pull the trigger on my first mac, a refurbed MBP 15" 512 GB M370X. After discover cash back, gonna run about $2000, which for me is a good enough price. Overnight shipping it so it should be here tomorrow. Super excited for it!

Just picked up a nice refurbished 13" rMBP 8GB (early 2015). Ordered from Apple's Refurb page and picked it up from the Apple store after work. It replaces a late 2013 that was stolen early this spring. Nice to have a "new" unit and can retire my aging '07 iMac. All set up and running like a champ.

Picked up a 2015 15" 512gb M370x. Got it for a deal and I get 18month 0% interest financing. Its basically replacing my iMac and 12" macbook. Will be docking when I'm home. Nice to have one machine for it all, rather than being spread out on different devices. Gotta save a bit and add apple care later on.

just got my new rMbp (3.1i7, 16gb ram, 512GB HD). 13 inch, replacing a late-2011 13" mbp. installing 10.11 now. so far, so good. prefer the older L-shaped magsafe, and miss both usb ports on the same side. but love the weight, styling...the screen. and am looking forward to using it (mostly, logic X). will see how that goes....

am so far, really happy with the 13" rmbp. bumped the screen resolution (logic X is happy); the clarity makes it workable. and watching usb 3.0 drives backup data is...impressive. the 13" rMbp is a beautiful thing...no matter what comes next.

EDIT: good to see this too: a logic X project that maxed out the CPU on my previous macbook pro (late 2011 13"), now goes to about 1/2 cpu....

First step into mac although I use iphone and ipad.
Looking forward to the hopefully not to "steep" learning curve.

Received my 13"rMBP yesterday and it has been a joy. It replaced an older 17' that had fallen from a shelf. What the heck I moved to 16GB and 256GB.
Enjoy your MacBook Pro!
Michael

I ordered the mid 2014 15" rMBP for $1599 from B&H; should be here Tuesday.

I looked at that too. I wanted a signifcantly lighter laptop than my current 2008 macbook ( 5lbs). The 15" seemed "too close" in weight, and the battery life of the smaller screen macbooks just seemed phenomenal.

Dealing with non buyer's remorse to a modest extent right now.

I just got a 13 Macbook Pro with a 512 SSD :) Woot!
It deserved logging into the forum as well!
Downloading El Capitan now.

I've just obtained an early 2013 rMBP quad core 2.7 i7 with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD, and I'm very pleased with it! It's going to run a basic Win7 instance in Parallels occasionally, but mainly being used for mobile work, as my old 17" 2011 Dell XPS L702X was huge and cumbersome to carry.

I have an early 2013 15" rMBP. My 3 year Apple Care warranty expires in Feb 2016; about 80 days from now.

Since July I have been having issues with the machine randomly shutting down and I also had the issue with the Retina display coating. The machine has been repaired on 3 separate occasions since July. 1. Display 2. Logic Board 3. Battery. Alas, all these repairs did not solve the random shut down issue.

Apple was kind enough to offer to replace my machine, at no cost, with a brand new 15" rMBP - 2.5 Ghz i7, AMD R9 370X, 16GB RAM, 1TB Flash storage. Once I receive the machine I will ship them back my old machine. I am amazed at how good Apple's support staff has been and am thrilled that they are replacing my 3 year old machine with a brand new one. Apple Care is truly worth it's weight in gold. Looking forward to my new machine!

Congrats on the upgrade! I have the same model and I'm loving it so far.

I'm definitely getting AppleCare before the warranty is up.

Just ordered a used 2014 Macbook Pro Retina 13" off of Amazon. It comes with an upgraded 2.8GHz CPU instead of the default 2.6GHz, upgraded 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD, all for $1100. Only downside for me is that it is 2014 instead of 2015, and it has a small dent on one corner, but it isn't super noticeable. The price for the specs were just too good :p

My 13" MacBook Pro (refurbished from Apple.ca) arrived a couple of days ago. I ordered the 2.7GHz i5 with 256GB PCIe, but they sent me a 3.1GHz i7 instead. I think this 'upgrade' scenario happens quite often, as I ordered a refurbed iMac back in 2008 with a 320GB HD, and it arrived with the 500GB drive instead.

Picked up a 2.5GHz 15" Macbook Pro. Moved from the 2013 13" Macbook Pro and the difference is pretty sweet, just getting use to the fact it runs slightly warmer but the performance is outstanding. Xcode compile times are no longer yawn inducing !

I checked b&h and didn't find a rmbp at this price or spec. Mind sharing the link? I would've pm'ed but didn't see that function on this site.

I think that was a Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale price.
