My MacBook Pro is being shipped from Shanghai. It was delivered to them sometime last night, and will be here by 10:30AM Friday. So basically the BTO options added one extra day to the order.

When will the Macbook Pro be readyMaybe tonight? Actually, the IPOD was shipped yesterday at 11PM ET time from China (Kunshan, CN).
BTO will usually take at least 3 days to reach the "Prepared to Ship" status...so in your case probably by the end of the week.

i've heard a lot uMBPs do this!
one of mine (long since returned), only did it with the lid open!

WTH, my MBP 15 has been stuck in MISSISSAUGA, ON for almost two days. The status is "Paperwork available for non-FedEx broker". What's that?
I will ask Apple for a refund of the shipping charge. I paid CAD$19 for express shipping, but haven't got that after the 2-3 day promised shipping time.

Mine just updated (was also in transit, scheduled for 29th delivery in London). Now has a UPS tracking number and expected delivery tomorrow. Details still sketchy on UPS tracking though; having worked for UPS I don't hold out that much hope ;-)

I didn't get any info since I ordered beyond a 29th delivery estimate for next Monday, then when I got back just now, it's got UPS assigned carrier, tracking number, and coming tomorrow, 5 days earlier! Dang.One problem being i'm probably going to be away all day tomorrow.... What's the next date they might redeliver? Or can I find out roughly when they'll deliver or get them to deliver it in a certain part of the day? hmm, and the package is "Weight: .20 Kg" ? What- no rock?
I'm actually up in Birmingham all day tomorrow and our office is closed for the day. Sounds like Sod's Law but having dug further in the UPS tracking, there are two packages in the shipment. A 0.5kg one in Tamworth which has physical scan and a larger one which is scanned for paperwork having been received. I have an iPod and Parallels in the same order and if anything suspect one/both of those is the delivery for tomorrow.
It was a few years ago I worked for UPS so may have changed but pretty much zero chance of pinning them down to any time of day I'd say.
Fingers crossed anyway!

I ordered my bone stock b/c :
1. I wanted to get it sooner than later (received in 2 days with free shipping).
2. I am able to return it to my nearby Apple store if there was an issue, instead of having to send it back.

BTW: There's a sticky at the top of this forum for people who've I just ordered / bought / got my new MBP. At a guess, i would say the admins on MR are trying to cut down on the server load.. or keep those threads together - just thought i'd let you know.

Today my IPOD touch was shipped. It was part of the order. The Macbook Pro is still in status "not yet shipped"
