Hey I just have a quick question, when it ships BTO where does it travel?
Mine started in shanghai, then anchorage, now it's in louosville. I live in toronto, so would anyone know where my package still has to go? Thanks!

You and I are in the same boat. My started in Shanghai. Then Chiacago. This morning it's in Louisville. Now I live in Massachusetts so I would expect it to come to Boston from Chicago. Fedex still says it will be delivered today by 10:30 am... hmmm.
The funny thing is I also got the free iPod. That shipped after the MBP and it got here 2 days ago. It went Shanghai, Anchorage, Chicago, Boston, Framingham (on the truck) ---> to me.
I'm even a little further than you (Halifax). I ordered a normal 2.8 but it appears that they needed to ship it from shanghai. (I thought only BTO orders came from there- maybe they ran out?)
Anyways, how long did it take to get to louisville? Did you get the regular shipping or expedited?

Not sure if this is any help ... Last Christmas I ordered the incredibly high valued iPod Shuffle (2GB) laser engraved as a gift for a friend. It shipped Shanghai, Alaska, then somewhere in the main 48, Memphis I think, and then to Mississauga. From the time I hit "buy" on the keyboard until it was at my house was just under 48 hours .... with regular shipping.
Just regular shipping...

Hey I got regular shipping and I ordered on the 18th of June. It was BTO, and it shipped on the 22nd. Today is the 25th and it says that it's in "Mount Hope, Ontario". Hopefully I get it today or tomorrow. I think mine took longer to ship because of the BTO, but hopefully this helps you! Oh, and it got to Louisville on the 25th, so the 3rd day.
13" MBP coming today or tomorrow... got a bigger 320 HD in it.. first mac, been wanting one for some time, but buying them in brasil is waaaay too expensive, so i took advantage of beeing in canada until july
Wow, it must be really expensive there!! Im complaining that Canada is too expensive! The US prices are even cheaper though!
After two days In Transit in Shanghai, my MBP has shown up in Chicago. And it is still scheduled to be delivered tomorrow by 10:30AM. We'll see if Fedex makes it or not. It looks like it will have to go through Tennessee before it comes to me.
Mine is shipping through UPS, and now UPS doesn't show a "scheduled delivery date"? I dont know what UPS is doing, but I just hope it comes today or tomorrow!
Yeah, in Brasil its a little over twice the price in the US i think.. not sure, but something like that... Canada might be a little more expensive then the US, but is no comparison to Brasilian prices..
just checked online the price on a store near home, for a uMB (not the new pro, the 13" uMB, the pro isn`t even for sale there yet) with 2ghz, 2gb ram and 160 gb HD costs U$$ 2320.77, and that is because they are on sale, to clear the stock of uMB before the 13" MBP gets there... its unbelievable
Arrived at 10:30 am... I installed the larger 500GB drive and have just finished installing all the software and updating with software update. Typing this on it right now... Looks great and everything seems to work... knock on aluminum.

Yay, today my IPOD Touch and the Macbook Pro CTO/BTO were delivered. What a decent surprise because I ordered both of them just this Monday (22 June).
I was really surprised that
a) they arrived at the same day and
b) that the CTO/BTO configuration was blazing fast!
See the screen shot for the FedEx tracking. I just want to share this with you guys, expecially for the people who just ordered their Apple Books
At least it gives you an idea how long it takes to get the delivery from China to the USA.So, what is next? I think battery calibration and montiroe calibration? And ideas how this works? I think to remember that I saw a link to the battery calibration. Need to check out the search!

That's weird I ordered mine a day before you and it won't be here until tomorrow. Although they may not give priority to people using a discount (education store).
Just got mine! It shipped 3 days ago and today it arrived (3rd day)! It was a BTO 13" uMBP. I cant believe it came so fast!! Im loving it right now!!!!!
I never thought I'd post tracking progress here, but its fun to share the excitement!

Guess it might depend on when they get the order confirmed in the day. They might not do daily shipments out of the factory also. Not sure how much is known about the Shenzen side, but something like that might explain the delay. Remember on the other hand that some people's orders have been arriving earlier than expected.

It shipped today! I forgot China was roughly 15 hours ahead, and they are working now.
I'm typing this on the 17" Macbook Pro that I just purchased tonight. I just finished dealing with the rebate form for my printer and iPod.
This thing is amazing. I got it for my photography, but I can't believe how much easier this thing makes even browsing the Internet. The trackpad, keyboard, incredibly bright and colorful matte screen,... it's the best notebook computer that I've ever had the pleasure of using.
Heck, even the speakers are pretty good.
... It's just too bad the people I dealt with at the Apple Store were so backwards and unhelpful. Friendly, but kind of useless.
I am completely satisfied with this thing.
