That would be great to get it on Friday the 4th! I guess it's possible since it shipped yesterday.

Just had my date pushed back again by UPS. Hopefully its a glitch in their system. A few years ago, I would have been mad that I was getting my computer a few days later than expected but it does not bother me now.

Paid £1950 for a brand new maxed out 15" 2016 (2.9, 16GB, 1TB) good deal? Need to fork out for AppleCare though.. :(:mad::mad::mad:

Ordered a 2017 15" Space Gray MBP, 2.8ghz, 16gb, 1tb with Radeon 560 a few days ago, can't wait till it arrives! It will replace my late 2013 13" MBP, which has been my main work machine (web dev on macOS & Windows via Parallels) for the last few years.

Agonized a bit about the 2017 13" vs 15" thing, but it finally came down to the 13" being a little less machine than I wanted (basically graphics horsepower and two vs four cores), and the 15" being more machine than needed now. I chose the latter for longevity's sake, since I plan on using this for the next 4-5 years at least.

Funny side story, the last time I posted on Mac Rumors about a 15" was apparently in 2007, when I had just gotten my Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo model. I used it for years before giving it to my parents, where it was in-use until about a year ago as their "living room" computer.

Also still have a 2008 iMac, which is in the loft to play Amazon videos for my toddler (runs El Cap, too!). Crazy how long these machines last.

I just ordered a 2017 MacBook Pro 13" No Touch Bar, i6, 16 GB RAM 128 GB SSD:

Well, the unicorn showed up and I have no idea what Apple will do in the end with my 2016 that is going back in for repair. I have hope but you never know. The 2015 13" 2.7 16GB/512GB showed up on Apple Refurbished so now it's on the way to my house.

Crazy note. Last 2015 13" I bought as insurance policy against 2016 issues was on the same plane from Memphis as my repaired 2016.

Now this one and the (again) repaired 2016 could be on the same plane again Friday.

I just bought a 2017 13" 3.1 16GB/512GB off of craigslist for $1750. The guy went with a decked out iMac and needed to get rid of it! Saved $650 factoring NY sales tax so I'm pretty happy. Definitely looking forward to the portability vs my Mid-2015 15".

Just purchased the following for the wife.

$1199.99
Apple - Macbook® - 12" Display
Intel Core M5
8GB Memory
512GB Flash Storage
Space Gray

I was able to get the same item price matched on base so that helped without the tax. Also, bought their warranty plan for $160 and the HooToo USB-C hub from Amazon.

I'm just waiting for my 17" MacBook Pro to die and then I'll jump on the next one. So far it's lasted me six years.

Just got a 2017 15" after my Apple 13" replacement (after multiple repairs) had issues out of the box (critical software issue & wouldn't charge). Apple tech saw all I had been through and offered me a 15" even (I did pay the extra $100 for AC+). After all of this.. I'm stoked and it was cool of an Apple Tech in the store I had the initial bad manager interaction offer that. Thank you again to those Apple employees who helped so much.

Just bought a 15 inch MacBook Pro 2017

$2,599.00 with education pricing for the one with:
intel i7 clocked at 2.9 GHZ
AMD Radeon Pro 560
16GB LPDDR# RAM ( my other laptop has DDR4...)
512GB SSD

I actually hated the keyboard when I looked into buying a MacBook a few years ago when I tried it on the rMB but I actually do find the new version on this to be quite fine and the short key travel isn't an issue with me now. I actually also find the touch bar to be more useful than I thought it would be.

I just ordered a Base Model MBP with 512GB SSD and 8GB of ram, although I kinda regret not getting 16, I found myself always short on disk space never ram on my MBA doing all my software development.

About to place my order for MBP 13" 2017 NTB,
It's currently £1,149 from currys in the uk,
They have Promoton of £100 cashback on all MBP,
So makes it a nice £1,050,
Never owned an Apple computer but always had iPads iPhones and watches,
Just hope I can accustom to it

Curry's in the UK now have the 2016 Macbook Pro with Touchbar (8GB RAM & 256GB SSD) for £1299. Definitely a good deal at the moment. Seeing as the new 2017 model is £1499.

Today I exchanged (and paid difference) my 2107 15" 2.8 and went to the 2.9 16/512 15" and I am very happy.. this machine will more than cover my needs for many years... and I have AC+ for any issues.

Just got my first macbook. macbook pro Late 2016 base

all i can say is it's the most expensive mistake ever.

Please help. I just ordered a refurbished 2016 15" with touchbar. would I be better off with the 2017 13" TB?

Logic Pro, Clients, Online classes are what its main purpose is.

Just bought the 2017 2.9 512 560 after much debate and inner termoil. Surprisingly, getting the thing home and out of the box has left me unexpectedly impressed. I'm still installing things and will check out how various software runs later today. I do like how light to the Touch the keyboard is, and the touch Bar is buttery smooth to touch also. The trackpad is a little finnicky, more than it used to be, but I should be able to adjust. And the touch bar has actually surprised me on or two occasions with its usefulness. So far I bought two dongles (Belkin) - one for HDMI and the other for USB-A - both seem to work fine. No 4K output but maybe that's my cable? 1080p is fine. Overall it's no where near as 'dongle-gate' as it's all made out to be. I think I'll buy a Micro-B to USB-C cable for a hub I already have and I'm done. All black dongles / looks sweet too and matches the machines keyboard and bezel - I think I'll actually swap out the stock white charging cable for a black one and it'll look 'bad-ass' indeed :) Only real quibble is the placement of the headphone jack - would be nice for this to be forward instead of at the back, since the headphone has to come forward through your other cables.

Update: I bought a new HDMI cable and now I can get 4k out at 50/60Hz. Phenomenal :)

I have to say, I am thrilled with this new laptop :)

And for what its worth, the Belkin adapters and cables are all very robust. I highly recommend them. I've plugged in hard drives, audio interfaces, 4k monitors, and other usb midi peripherals, all working as expected.

Honestly though, I wish it had MagSafe. Or at the very least a dedicated charging port. I'm not a huge fan of losing a port to charging, and the AV Multi Adapter gets terrible reviews. If a better adapter comes out at some point that can charge and do a few other things at the same time I'll be stoked. I bet they add dedicated charging on the next revision, that spot above the two left side ports looks like its missing something...

Anyway, very happy! Hope I don't come across any issues and if I do I'll report back here!
