I got the base edition. Not enough for my needs specially the storage. For the price of extra dongles and accessories i could get a higher spec one, however, i will still need to buy those accs again. So much money paid for less than expected imho. Trying to figure out a solution for the storage..

How much storage do you need? How much did you pay for the base?

UPS just dropped off a 2016 13" nTB refurb at my house, direct from Apple. Right out of the box, the keyboard is making a high pitched popping noise. Otherwise, the rest of the computer is perfect. Crisp, bright screen. No light bleed. One cycle on the battery. Flawless body and paint. Sadly, because of the keyboard, it's probably going back.

Update: Flipped the computer over and discovered a very small dent in the bottom. Not noticeable unless the light is just perfect, but a dent none-the-less. It's going back for sure. If you buy a refurb from Apple, be sure and inspect every inch of it before you miss your 14 day window to return it. I thought Apple refurbs were pretty much perfect, but evidently, even Apple lets a problem or two slip through the cracks.

2016 Refurb TB 15"
or 13" 2017 16gb
OR just shed an extra 200 and get 2017 15" TB?

If you can afford it go 15". And if you can afford that, get the 2017. Those Kaby Lake processors are nice. I think the the refurb 2016 might be the best value however. I myself just bought a 2016 13" 512... but only because I couldn't afford the 15"

get a new one from BHPhotovideo for 1900$ tax free.
Its going on my barclaycard. But I figured it I sell the beats I get, I can immediately pay off 250$ brining a new one down to 1700. (the 15") Do you guys think thats an okay deal? Im sinking so much money into this. UGH. On the other hand I could fully load a 13" and give it the i7 and 16ram for 1999, 999$ if I trade the beats. Whats the best deal? My income is about 20k-26k a year. monthly budget is about 1100. Whats the wisest decision?

I'm on the fence as I can get a 2017nTB 13" 16gb RAM, 512gb SSD and applecare+ included for $1850 or to wait for the next edition of the Kaby Lake refresh. What would you guys advise I do?

I purchased a Dell XPS 15 a few weeks ago from Best buy. It was an open box item, had really good specs for the price. I was itching for a new laptop to replace my 2013 MBP so I got it. After a couple weeks I was having issues with it, so I returned it on Sunday for a full refund.

After I returned it, I took a trip to the Apple Store and purchased a brand new, 2017 MBP with touch bar. I have no idea why I went with a different company for a laptop. I love my 2013 MBP, and I love my 2017 MBP even more. Even though I spent much more on the computer than I spent on the Dell, I don't regret it one bit.

I got a refurb MBP tb 15" on Monday (three days ago) and I'm returning it. Over $3k and I can't type on it. What's really upsetting to me is Apple's response. I didn't get any offer to exchange it, or any suggestions for resolving it. Just send it back. I spent $50 on skins which I unwisely installed (so I wouldn't scratch my expensive new investment.) I also told the sales support guy this was my 3rd MBP but the first time I've been unhappy. I have an Apple watch, an iPad, am on my 4th iPhone, have an Apple TV...so I'm pretty much a fangirl. Nothing. Sending me a link to print off shipping return labels. Thanks, Apple. I'm now considering a PC, a Note 8, and Alexa.

I cannot type on it. The keys are extremely stiff. The spacebar is practically non-responsive. I am a fast typist, always have been but I cannot type on this machine. I've tried skins, no skins, and it's awful either way. The guy at Apple support claimed it should be exactly the same as my mid-2012 MBPr. It's not. So it's going back, and I'm not getting another one.

I just bought a MacBook Pro 15", 2017, 2.9 GHz, Radeon 560, 512 GB SSD, with the LG UltraFine 5K display. Everything is working perfectly and I'm absolutely happy! Just wanted to share my happiness. I love my Macs.. :)

PS: I got the OWC Thunderbold 3 Dock and it's wicked awesome...

Thought i would just chime in with my thoughts - i got a 2016 macbook pro from Curry's today for 1099, i actually was really happy with that price point for the spec, which is 256 ssd, not bothered about the older processor as im a rather light user and the touch bar whilst cool is still a bit gimmicky!

must say currys gave me 260 trade in for my old macbook pro from 2012 which was on its last legs 2bh, and two months of free damage cover.

came in at £859 in total, which i was able to pay in full! so delighted as i was previously having to look at finance options.

all the macs at currys are actually hugely discounted right now! this is in the uk!
