I read (here I believe) that delivery to our personal address are sometimes a little slower in customs when deliveries to Apple Store can be quicker for the customs. But yes... kind of impatient too, since I am leaving for 2 weeks the 3rd so getting it before would be just perfect... And maybe the feeling all this UPS tracking is not in real "real time"

An update: Didn't get to pick up my MBP today, unfortunately. It has been rescheduled for delivery for tomorrow. All because I opted to redirect the package from my home to a nearby UPS store. It has arrived in my city, just not where I need to go to pick it up. If I didn't redirect it, I am sure it would've arrived today. What a bummer!
Yep, the only way to not lose a day is picking up at a UPS hub, and not the store.
I was thinking of doing that the very day when I got the tracking information. I looked if I could choose the hub as the place to pick up the laptop, the web interface wouldn't let me. Only choices I had were the UPS retail stores and other UPS Access Points. I even typed in the exact address of the nearest UPS hub to me and it wouldn't appear in the web interface. Oh well.
Should I call UPS and tell them to hold it at the hub since it is there right now, or will it delay things even more than it already is?
I would just let it be and pick up your computer tomorrow. Of course up to you.
When did you ask to redirect the package? I may need to redirect mine but only if it doesn’t reschedule to a day later. Even though at the moment UPS says « Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later. »

Yes they do. For example I had an order with a deplivery scheduled for the 30th which moved up to the 24th. It usually changes when it’s shipped.

By the way, did the delivery date between UPS and Apple websites matched at the beginning ? UPS is +1 day for me and I wonder which one may be right so I can arrange to be at my place the proper date.

So for me, UPS originally said the 26 and Apple said 27.
Why is my laptop going from San Jose back up to San Francisco, when the UPS Store I selected is closer to San Jose than SF?
Weird how logistics sometimes doesn't make sense.

I woke up and my MBP has arrived in and since departed Korea - Finally some progress! Still on schedule for 31st according to UPS
Sounds like you are a FedEx delivery since your shipment came into Memphis, yes? The same thing happened to me yesterday. It arrived a day ahead of schedule, so I missed the 10:00 AM delivery. I picked it up at the local FedEx office. Mine is open until 8:30 PM, so check it out. There may be hope for a MBP weekend after all!

Kind of having buyer’s remorse already
1st: I got the very same config as you and so far (since Wednesday) I have nothing to complain about - just a great machine and I've none of the issues I read about on the internet (ports not working, kernel panic, overheating). So just look forward to it.
2nd: How can you get if for that price? Even with education discount I can hardly believe it goes this low.
I was thinking about trying to pick it up but the location was a bit far for me. If I miss the delivery today and none of my roommates are there to accept it either I'm hoping they drop it off at a store in my neighborhood rather than going all the way back to the main hub.
