14" base model, Silver, delivery Oct 26th.

I've been told "never buy the base model" but I honestly think the base M1 Pro will be more than enough for my needs. Also, I need it before the 27th when I go on a long-term vacation, and I think any upgrades push the delivery date back.

16" base, grey, delivers 26th.

Web site froze btw. Very bad, but iPhone came through. The base model is more than enough for me. More than enough

I ordered two…will cancel one. I just need help deciding. I dont do anything intensive except office products but ProMotion was the bottom line for me And I like to future proof to keep 5-7 years.

14” - silver - 8 core cpu/14 core gpu/16 core neural/16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD/67W power adapter - delivers 10/26
14” - silver - 10 core cpu/16 core gpu/16 core neural/16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD/96W power adapter - delivers 11/5 - 11/10

Which to keep and to cancel?

I placed my order right away and have a confirmation number in my email, but it’s still not showing up in my orders! Is anyone else noticing that as well?

Ordered the upgraded 14” with the 10 core cpu and 16 gpu. Delivering Oct. 26th. Sold my M1 pro before WWDC thinking they’ll release then so I’ve been waiting awhile for this

14" with 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage incoming.
The delivery time is 3-4 weeks, so the actual delivery will be pretty much coinciding with the 10 year anniversary of my 2011 MBA.
Here's to another 10 years! :apple:

14" base model for me. Saving my pennies for the big iMac (I prefer desktops but like to have a laptop sometimes).

Still torn over if I shoulda got the 10 core cpu.. its 10% more money for 33% more performance cores but Apple is so bad at telling you what the difference is in the real world lol.

I ordered this 30 min ago, and got 2-3 weeks shipping (Nov 11-18). Got Space Gray.

I ordered yesterday with 8 core CPU, and 14 core GPU— but decided I wanted to have “what was shown” in the keynote. I am sure both machines are overkill for my light freelance programming, but— I keep these things for 7+ years, so I wanted what I wanted.

Yeah. Futureproofing is expensive but I know I will thank myself later. Although I'm curious to see how far I can push the machine with a DAW.

Yeah, after adding 1TB + 32GB (and the 96w charger) to the base 14”, the cost to go from 8/14 to 10/16 was $250– half the $500 price hike to go from base 8/14 to base 10/16. On a payment plan it was only $20/mo more… the cost of future proofing. heh

MacBook Pro 16 with 1 TB SSD and 32 GB of RAM. October 26. I hit reload on the website until I could order. Had two browsers open on two computers as one did die in the middle of the order so I started on the second computer. I hit reload on the first one and it eventually came back. I had a slight bit of remorse after placing the order thinking that I should have ordered a bit higher after seeing how many people here ordered the Max configurations but I can't justify more. The M1 is actually fine for me except for RAM and ports. The M1 Pro fixes those problems but I actually don't need that amount of CPU. I only need enough GPU to drive 2x4k external displays.

This will be a replacement for a 2014 MacBook Pro 15 (I'm going to sell my 2015 MacBook Pro 15). My daughter has an M1 MacBook Air 1/16 and it's really great. I also have an M1 mini and it's great. I have to look at accessories now. I wanted to get the computer ordered first before thinking about accessories.

I ordered a 16", 64GB, 1TB yesterday with an Arrives date of Oct 26th!

I did notice that today, the date has disappeared - it just says "Arrives ". Has anybody else seen that before? Hopefully that doesn't mean there is a problem with my credit card or something - although my bank hasn't contacted me.

In the iPhone app it even shows "MacBook Pro available to ship null".
I just chatted with support, and they show the 10/26 delivery date when they check in their system, so they were pretty sure it's just a website problem/glitch.

Yeah, mine is the same. Certainly seems like a temporary glitch.
