Go to apple.com; at the bottom of the page, under Apple Store, there’s a link for Apple Trade In. From there you can enter your information and get an estimate. You won’t know the actual amount until they receive your device and inspect it.

Thank you. When I checked I was offered $590; still unsure. Really wish an Air would come out with a 15”. I would be all over that.

Ordered a 14" M1 Max 10 core 24 GPU - 32gigs of ram and 1TB. Pricey computer but I regret going under powered for my 13" MacBook Pro i5. Ordered it on Thursday and they are saying end of February or early March. Hope production picks up, new models will be out by then!

dear friends, my device (16 inches m1) came and i noticed some stain spots on display after i remove the protective paper on display. They were located on same area and other regions of display were completely clean. I have cleaned this area with cloth and all gone.

Has any one experienced sth like this?

this is for anyone in the uk. (Sorry if I’m posting in the wrong place) I returned my 16in M1 pro because I needed more ram and I wanted the smaller size and I almost gave up hope after seeing Apple are quoting February to March for the one I want. Turns out John Lewis have them in stock as We speak. 14in M1 max 24 core 32GB ram. Ordered it this morning and it’s already dispatched with the courier to be delivered tomorrow.

Hope this helps someone.

Not sure what you are concerned about? A little spot on the screen that cleans up is probably just a rare occurrence of whoever packaged it touching the screen when they shouldn't have.

Well I was posting elsewhere and I figured I'd contribute to this thread too.

I actually bought *two* new Mac in the past month.

I think 2015 was Peak MacBook Pro, so awhile back I retired my iMac and bought a 2015 MBP 15 off Craigslist, driving two 42" LG Ultrawide monitors. I do embedded software development all run under Windows hosted in VMWare. It all works flawlessly, even the USB JTAG realtime debugger. Only problem is this Mac has gotten pretty banged up, now the battery is swelling and there's a couple stripped screws on the case so it's starting to open up like an oyster. And the fan runs all the time.

So I wanted a new Apple Silicon Mac, but I still am tethered to Intel/Windows for the duration of this development contract (and any follow-on work). So, I bought two "new" Macs.

1) New MBP16 M1max, 64 GB, 2 TB. This now drives the two 42" displays and is my main machine
2) Used 2015 MBP 13 from OWC, which mostly gets used for development work.

I had bought drives from OWC but never a machine. The ad said "very good." I think "like new" is more accurate. Works great, super happy with it. I neglected to notice the 13s are all dual core (my 15 was quad core) but performance running Windows is good enough for my purposes. I use Screen Share to display the MBP13's VMWare window in one of the two big monitors driven by the MBP16.

The MBP16 is pretty amazing. It took awhile to get my split setup configured the way I like, but so far it's working out OK. I think I will get many many years of use out of this Mac.

Not being able to have Windows as a VM, or any other OS that does not work with ARM is a big blow and really brings down the usability and functionality of a Mac. I loved that I can have both on one computer, makes me way more flexible and also allows me to test a lot of things out. The other day I installed Windows 11 to run some tests for software we use and see how it all works and runs. Software is ancient 20 year old software that gets used daily. Would cost a fortune to update and really it would not be worth it for the simple task it performs, would be no real gain. I have done the same with Mac OS releases, would install as a VM first and run my apps, setup printers, etc. Make sure everything works, drivers, etc. I am sure there are many other benefits as well. It will be a work around to figure a few things out with my 14" on the way, and I will flat out not be able to do some things.

I just ordered a 14 inch base model with 1tb SSD. Estimated delivery Feb7th! Seems so long. Never waited a month to get a Macbook delivered before. Curious if other people have gotten an updated shipping date that is faster?

I keep hoping I will see ship date jump forward. I am end of February early March for mine.

I ordered a fully loaded 16 M1Max on Nov 10th. It’s been stuck at “Your order has been processed” since then. Estimated Delivery Date Jan 11-24.

I just checked B&H. For those that recently ordered through Apple or another reseller, B&H has some 14 and 16 inch models in stock with M1 Max chips. They have M1 Pros as well but it seems like the availability of M1 Max is more limited given the longer wait times with Apple and other resellers. I’m sure the availability of certain configurations are changing as I type this.

hi, i have seen a topic on reddit and checked my device about this issue. Mine has also misaligned black border at the bottom of display. This assymetry can easily be seen with the flash light of a smartphone. The grey reflection under misaligned part is seen with flash light. Has anyone noticed the same issue? Is this a common problem?

also here you can find the original post about same problem:

I bit the bullet and ordered the MacBook Pro with M1Max chip, 10 core cpu, 32 core gpu, 64 gb of ram and a 4 tb ssd. I'm trading in my late 2019 MacBook Pro. Delivery estimate is late March to early April, plenty of time for me to get buyer's remorse.

Those of you who received your new M1 MacBook Pro, did it arrive early? Late? On time? Mine has an estimated delivery of late March / early April.
