Which supplier did you get these very nice skins from?
Hey Bro,

I got these off of Dbrand. I got the limited edition robot camo skin. It only came with the top, the bottom, and the trackpad so I had to get a separate one for the palm rest. For the palm rest, I got the matte black. Unfortunately, for some reason though these didn't come with the option for the apple logo cutout but their more simpler skins do have that option. The total was $64.90. A lot of people complain about Dbrand and their shipping time but I got mine pretty quick, in my opinion. I had placed the order on the 17th of December and I got it the 27th. So I thought 10 days was quick considering the complaints are mostly about how long it takes them to receive it. Hope this helps.

I was originally given a March 23 - April 6 delivery window. Now it's March 18 - March 31. I hope it moves more. I ordered the 16" MacBook Pro with M1 Max chip, 64GB ram and a 4TB SSD.

I thought I'd dig out my Early 2006 Core Duo and see how it stacks up against new new toy. Internally, both machines couldn't be further apart, but design wise, it's interesting to see how similar they are.

I placed my order for a Silver 16" M1 Max, 64GB, 4TB and a Silver 14" M1 Max, 64GB, 4TB; March 21 - April 1 delivery window for both. Absolutely no Max configurations in stock anywhere around me. The Apple Store I visited before placing my order said they rarely receive any Max configs, and most of the ones they do receive are online orders that opted for in-store pickup.

Edit: I was able to find the 16" in stock at B&H (Space Gray) and it will be delivered tomorrow. I am keeping the 14" order.

I ordered a 2015 MacBook Pro 15" with a 2.5 GHz Intel i7 CPU and the AMD Radeon R9 M370X GPU.

It arrived earlier today, and I have been setting it up and playing with it this afternoon and evening (have to watch Battlestar Galactica some other time...). I am liking it so far.

It isn't as powerful as the MBP 2020 M1 13" that I have, and the fans will kick in for a little bit when the temperature rises (although smcFanControl helps), but I do like the bigger screen and I got it for about $475.

And although the fans do kick in, the noise isn't very noticeable. I'll see how that goes when I do some more stenusous stuff, like using InteliJ for Java development or running Geekbench 5 to compare this with my other computers.

Picked up a base 16" Silver today. Pictures and video really don't do the machine justice. The design, including the thickness and the notch, looks way better in person.

I ordered my MacBook Pro on Jan 17. Quoted a 2 month wait. Saw the exact same Mac today on B&H Photo - in stock, 2 day delivery. They offered less for my MacBook Pro trade in than Apple did. It doesn’t seem fair that I have to wait two months for Apple to get me the machine that others can get me in two days.

Starting to get memory pressure issues on my ass end M1 MBA as I'm doing some stuff in XCode on contract. So spent the entire day hovering over an amazon basket with the ass end 14" 16/512 MBP in it. Clicked it in the end. Worked out if I sell the MBA and all the other crap I have queued for ebay it'll only cost me £400 in total thus not burning too badly. Will be here tomorrow - no queue for this model in the UK at least.

Update B&H Photo is now out of stock of them. Quoting a 6 to 8 weeks. I was quoted nearly a 9 week wait.

Yeah this "old" design it's the part that I didn't really liked!

I just love the design, weight etc of my Mid 2017 13" Pro... but it was time for a hardware upgrade so I got the new 14" anyway. I hope I'll get used to the design, size, thickness and weight of this new one.

Not sure if I’m posting in the right place but it’s my first time trading in a MBP and I’m not sure if I should send the charger and cable.

I asked at Apple store and the guy said that if they didn’t ask on the website if I’m sending the charger, it would not be necessary but I’m afraid that it will affect the amount they estimated ? At the same time I would like to keep it if it’s not affecting the estimated price ?

Who are you using for the trade? I've used the trade partner in Canada 3 times and have always sent the charger and cable. I believe they ask you this when you setup the trade, it will affect the trade price if you don't send them.

I’m in the US and I did everything on Apple’s website. They asked me 3 questions about the condition but none of them mentioned cable and/or charger.

It’s a MBP mid 2017

Given the above two posts, I was hoping that my MacBook Pro would be close to shipping. I ordered the 16 inch, M1Max with 32 GPU cores, 64 GB ram and 4 TB ssd.

Upgrading from a 2018 MacBook Pro 15” with i9-6 cores, 32GB and 1TB, Vega 20.
Was never happy with the performance even if I paid over €4500 for it.
Sold it before it lost too much value.

Ordered a 16” MacBook Pro M1 Pro 10c/16c, 32GB, 1TB.
Ended up with the 32GB because I use it for photography and timelapses.

EDIT: Canceled the M1 Pro and ordered a M1 Max 24 cores as the difference form the 32GB RAM M1 PRO is just €200. Makes a lot more sense.
