Any leads on vertical docks?

I've been a big fan of HengeDocks (now Brydge)'s vertical docks for years, but it seems they're incompatible with the latest round of MacBook Pro M1 Max laptops for work (16") but it seems Brydge is a little behind and doesn't have one that's compatible.

Are there any other options out there people like? Googling for options seems to do a poor job thanks to everyone SEO-cramming for "MacBook Pro" in general.

Thanks in advance!

Ordered MBP 16" with M1 Pro, 32G Ram, 1TB SSD. Order had been under processing state for the last 3 weeks and now got an email that the shipping would be in 5-7 weeks.

For those that want a MacBook right away and don't need customizations, you can check online early morning around 10am when they scan in new shipments and see if MacBook's are in stock and available for local pickup. My brother just picked one up a few days ago!

Good luck :)

No stock of any refurbished 14” or 16” MBP. I wonder how quickly they will be replenished given the high demand and factory shutdowns.

Why? It is HIGHLY unlikely that the M2 will be more powerful than the M1 Max in the multicore and GPU territory. The M2 Max variant obviously will, but we're at least 8-12 months out from that.

M2 is mainly going to be all about efficiency. And probably an extra core or two, nowhere near the grunt of an M1 Max.

The M2, supposedly, will have HDMI 2.1 instead of HDMI 2.0, 12 CPU cores instead of 10 and 2, 4 or 8 extra GPU cores for pro, max and ultra respectively. The 32 MB TLB issue is also fixed in M2.

I do heavy-duty video effect software development, so every ounce of CPU/GPU helps. My competition is well-funded with huge budgets, while I’m trying to “break in” as an indie. A producer will drop me a few Red mags from his dailies with some notes on the effects he wants and it’s a race to code and render faster and more creatively than what the other guys have.

I wish the Ultra were available on the MBP. Maybe I can strap a Studio, a UPS and a monitor onto a Pelican case with rollers…

Now arriving July 13-July 27. 2 entire months additional delay.

I wanted the 15" but... I don't know, I do like smaller laptops. No real reason why, but now that I'm not a full-time photographer and am just using this laptop to edit personal photos and play the Sims 4... why not? :)
Well I am back. I can't believe I wanted the 15" 6 years ago. Will be playing the Sims 4 on this one too. So that's three MBPs I've played the Sims 4 on haha. Maybe in another 4-7 years I'll quote this and EA will have still not released TS5. There's a rumor this thing will be here in August.

Likely. Usually takes about 2-3 days to actually ship from that step in the ordering process.

I’m envious. Since I went from the end of this month to more than two additional months away, my patience has been exhausted. I’m trying to just forget about it and be surprised when it shows up, but I’m really disappointed right now. Maybe the next MacBook Pro will be announced at WWDC and I can just skip this generation.

I mean they can't even fulfill the outstanding orders of the current MacBook Pro, what makes you think that a new one would be plausibly more obtainable?

hello all!

I just purchased the 14” MacBook Pro with upgraded HDD and power adapter. My current shipping estimate is below. Are people seeing the shipping estimates move up or pushed out? Thanks!

“Ships: 7–9 weeks
Delivers: Jul 25 - Aug 8 by Standard Delivery”

I presume that if they announce something new, I can at least be at the front of the line for the 16” M2 MacBook Pro. if you’re gonna be stupid. Why go half way?

I’ve been waiting for the refurbished 2021 MacBook Pros to come back in stock. The model I want has been out of stock for 3 weeks. Micro Center has $250 off the model which is in stock and could be picked up today, but I have nearly $800 in Apple Store credit, plus I’d save another $40 getting the refurbished model. Not having any idea when or if the refurbished models will ever come in stock again is maddening.

Yeah, you might as well go full. Let's see, current M1 Pro/Max MacBooks were already delayed months before because of the logistical issues dealing with covid related component shortages, in addition to China's Zero Covid policy preventing factories from operating at full capacity. So now I guess Apple can magically spin up new factories with all new manufacturing processes at-will, to produce an entirely new MacBook when they currently lack the manufacturing output to meet the demand of the current MacBook /s . Make it make sense.

Just order a 14 inch M1 Pro 10/16 from Costco. Picking it up tomorrow (yay for two day shipping!) I also got $200 off of it. Not as high spec'd as I wanted but I did not want to wait for months, and getting a discount when almost all Macs are out of stock is pretty great.
