Just pulled the trigger on a refurb June 2009 15" 2.8Ghz MBP. I was planning on the 2.6Ghz, but when I saw the magic word "SD Slot" in the refurb Apple Store for a faster model (and $50 less!), I jumped on it.

$350 off for what is essentially a brand-new machine that someone didn't like? Sold!

MBP ordered... No shipping info...

Ordered my 13" MacBook Pro on the 3rd, it's the 10th now and although apples website says it was shipped on the 6th there is still no courier info on the site; it says it's due to be delivered on the 17th, but it's been a week already and i can't see where it is in the process... It seems the 2 week wait is pretty normal as it was a CTO, but is it normal to not see any courier a week after my order was placed?

Or... am i just impatient ;)

New MBP!!

Chalk me up for a new 15'' MBP. Just ordered it at about 10am central.

I went for the 7200 rpm HDD, and was worried that this might delay shipping because its not stock. How long does it usually take for it to ship out from.....wherever it ships out?

I can finally post in this thread. :D

I've been waiting to pull the trigger, and I did it yesterday. I ordered:

A 2.53 GHz 13" MBP with a 500GB HDD, a 2TB Time Capsule, a 16GB iPod touch (a gift for my brother), and a wireless HP all-in-one printer.

I can't wait! This iBook has been on its last legs for months now.

Finally getting my Macbook Pro 15inch today after purchasing it on July 24th and waiting forever since UPS lost(stole) my first one. I opted for the 2.8GHz model with upgrade 7200rpm drive and iLife '09.

Finally going to be joining the Mac community after slowly being converted over the past year. Also converted my g/f who loves her new 13" Macbook Pro.

I'm the same! I ordered 15" macbook pro 3.06ghz 500gb 7200rpm hdd (I know there are problems with these but Apple is working on it so I'm reassured!!)

It was despatched on Monday 10th and I'm waiting patiently. Not due to receive it until the 19th (this coming Wednesday
) though and I seriously can't stop checking my delivery schedule to make sure there aren't any delays.

Apparently I won't get a proper tracking number until it reaches the UK. I'm in Northern Ireland and praying it arrives this Friday at the latest.

What do you think my chances are?? :p

I hope it arrives hatcher!! My shipping status has still not updated so it mustn't have reached the UK yet. 10th of August to 19th August seems like a very long time for despatch from China :-((

Finally!

I ordered my macbook pro + iPod Touch & software through my school's back-to-school special (what a deal, thanks U of M!) about two weeks ago & will get to pick up my computer Monday morning. Needless to say, the past two weeks have gone by super slow. I am so excited to finally have my macbook, especially since my 4 year old vaio decided to stop starting windows last month. Needless to say, there was no way I was going to waste money on a pc.

I did exactly the same thing over a week ago and I'm now the proud owner of what can only be described as a work of art! I'm so pleased with hhis machine. It was a lot of money but worth every penny!!! It's looks utterly breathtaking and is a very powerful machine. Movies look utterly gorgeous, the multitouch trackpad took a few hours to get the hang of it but would never go back to an old style trackpad ever again... I installed boot camp and got colin mcrea rally 4 and call of duty 4 running on it and they both run really sweet, no one I know can believe how well they run on it. The only problem is it's so good looking I don't want to ruin it by shoving it in my rucksack with everything else... Think I'm gonna buy a laptop sleeve for it ;) only had it for 2 days but I hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine so far... Am certain you will... :)

Just got mine in mail today. Have been an avid Linux user for a while - just 'switched' to mac, I guess. The laptop looks amazing.

13.3" MBP - 4GB RAM, 250G HDD, iWork '09

am excited to see how it will be for me. I've never had a Mac before and so far, I'm really glad I got one. I have the iPod Touch 2nd G (the free 8G one due to the college deal, and its my first iPod) - so thats exciting as well.

It took a week to get from the time I ordered.
