Ahhh!

Ordered MacBook Pro Thursday last week, arrived Monday.

2.66ghz, 4GB ram, 500gb HDD (WD Scorpio), 256MB Graphics.

But its stuck upstairs, and I'm banned from using it till Christmas. I feel like crying :L

BTW, does anyone know about any accessories that might go well with this setup? Looking around and can't find anything special though change from the purchase is burning a hole in my pocket ha

I keep checking the "order status" of my new 13" 2.26 MBP... and so far, it hasn't changed. I ordered it at 7am yesterday from the Apple site... my birthday is Thursday. Think I'll have it in time? I'm hoping to at least have it by Thanksgiving, so I can take it on our trip home for the break!!!

So excited, it's my first mac!

Not so much. It's almost Tuesday night. You'll need a day, at least, for tomfoolery, and then, depending on what option you selected, 2-7 days shipping. This Thursday is a Mars shot.

Got my 15" 2.66 this morning after being stuck at school all day yesterday with no one home to sign for it. I wasn't going to let it sit out side my house all day until I got home (9 pm).

It's great, everything that I could wish for, especially coming from my battered and bruised MBA.

I know here is not the place.
But I calibrated the battery and the Full charge capacity dropped from 5200 to 5113
so is that ok? Is there anything wrong with the battery?

I have the same computer and mine did the same exact thing! I called apple and I guess its normal, so they say. but remember its covered under warranty so if it drops below 80% while still under warranty they will replace the battery. I've had mine for 4 weeks and originally was 5450, then it went to 5116.

so random question, for those who ordered from apple... I have 3 status updates in the tracking area for Fedex, one says it left the fedex facility in China on the 17th, then an update from 1am this morning saying "in transit" in China, and another from this morning at 8am saying "in transit" in China. Is it really still in China?

Just purchased my 15 inch Macbook Pro middle version. So excited. I originally had one of the black Macbook's that I had purchased in 2006. Ended up selling it to a friend and got all the money almost 2 years later haha. Have this hooked up and running right now and man did I miss having a Mac. Any essential programs you guys would recommend?

I'm gonna have a lot of fun getting all my music off my ipod.

Well, it arrived in New Jersey this morning (ordered on Monday, 11/16), so looks like it will definitely be here Monday (11/23). Was really hoping it would come by today, since we had it delivered to my husband's work and they are not open on weekends... but Monday it is!

Just ordered my 13" Pro. Highest end with US Keyboard and the 500GB HDD. €1425 with student discount over €1584. Not bad saved about €159. To come on the 3rd of december. Damn it's such a tease as it's for X-Mas day. Once the clock hits 12am on the 24th of december the box will be opened and possibilities will be made. Rejoining the Pro club today!

Got rid of my 15" powerbook about 2 years ago because I wanted an Intel laptop. I also hated the size of the 15" so I got a plastic macbook. Ever since the 13" MBP was announced, it's tempted me. I bit the bullet on friday and paid for 2day shipping. It's on the vehicle for delivery and I couldn't be more excited!

Bought a giftcard worth 930 for 750 on craigslist for Futureshop Canada.. then bought a Macbook Pro 13" w/ student discount: price matched to Apple, so extra 10% on diffference off on Thursday last week. Best purchase I've ever made.

Already installed a 500GB HDD that i bought for only $60 on sales and going to order RAM today.

Hey guys,

First post here on Macrumors. Bought the 15" 2.53 Ghz model yesterday. This is my first Mac and so far I'm really happy!

Good: It's unbelievably quite, screen is AMAZING, speakers are as loud as you need them to be!

That's compared to my previous notebook (15" Lenovo 1.66Ghz 2GB ram) which was ridiculously loud and had pathetic speakers! Oh yeah, and SLOW

At least Apple looks like they've got it right!

Hello all, this is my first post here on MacRumors.

I just ordered my very first Mac computer: a 15" 2.66GHz MacBook Pro with the anti-glare matte screen. I also ordered it with Microsoft Office with it. I bought the 2-3 Day Shipping because when I ordered it I noticed somewhere that it would ship within 24 hours. Unfortunately, after I got my email notification that it was purchased, it said that it would ship within 1-3 business days. So far, my experience with Apple has been kind of upsetting. :/ I wouldn't have purchased the quick shipping if I would have known this. Disappointment aside, I'm pretty excited about getting my MBP.
