Fine, I wouldn't be fussed about 9.99, but is there any definitive policy?
off shopping tommorow, so does anyone know if you can get the edu discount in store?
It was $9.95 when they had the up-to-date program for Leopard, so if it's offered for Snow Leopard, I would expect the price to be the same. However, Apple has yet to announce any such program since Snow Leopard has not yet been released, so I would not count on anything being offered or any specific purchase date range just yet.Probably the same as Microsofts policy...I doubt you're going to get any software for free, especially an OS. If they charged 9.99 for iLife, expect to pay for Snow Leopard.
My 2 cents.
Just be sure to take proof that you're connected with the educational institution when you go to the Apple Store. Pay stubs, school ID's, etc. all work.
Great discount, so go for if you qualify.
The B
No. You are wrong. They have CCFL. The only LED screens are the standalone 24" monitors.
Yes I am 100% sure it was 2.93GHz and not 2.66Ghz. I actually did more testing than stated before, I actually was amazed and tested the same old model against a different 2.93Ghz model and got almost same results +/- had to be seconds. I then tested a different old 2.8GHz model against the new 2.93GHz and near identical results. I also tested against MacPro 15" unibody not sure the speed but it also took around 5 minutes to complete, but I did not test this one directly against the new iMac as far as starting both rendering at the same time. I also asked the apple people who were their and they had no clue. I only ran across one 2.66GHz 24" there and didn't really even touch it. I'm going back to play some more. I want to make sure that both have lasted software updates. Still I am very pleased with the old model I got last night, but like I said my luck Snow Leopard will require 2or3GB of memory and 320GB hard drive space, lol... I already have to get rid of my Photoshop 7 now, boo-hoo. I'll use the money I saved on the old iMac to get cs3 or cs4.
I've been saving money since winter 2008, including last year's annual bonus. I'm spending $4k on iMac, Time Capsule, printer, hard drive, RAM, software, and cables. Yeah, I've been waiting.Where do you guys get the money for all of this!?!??!?!
Hello!
Can someone help me please?
I would like to change my old Imac 24" (the white one) and i like the new iMac. I need to know what kind of flat panel the new 24" use. Is it still a good H-IPS panel? Do you know this?
Thanks a lot

since refurbs and clearance imacs don't let you choose your peripherals, did you guys get the keyboard with or without number pad?
My 20"/2.66 refurb came with the full size keyboard
