Yea best damn case for the money, the Magpul wouldn’t look good with the X.

Sorely tempted to get a Note 8 now my x is returned and ios 11 is a buggy mess on my 7+. Just don't think 14 days will be enough time to decide if I do buy one after 10years on iphone and ipad. First reaction when using Android is always negative.
Hmm 14 days is closing in. I really like my X but am debating returning to save some $$. I can use my SE for a week and still hit the Black Friday specials to save even more.
The Plus is still too big for me in my hand and pocket to be comfortable 100% of the time. This is the only thing I don't like.
The 4.7 is too small for things like keyboard.
The X is and should be just right.... but at $1,149 and $199 AppleCare.... an 8 at $699 or $749, $129 AppleCare and a $250-$300 giftcard is extremely tempting... and I could get over the size.
But then I only keep a phone for a year and pay 50% of the MSRP and cancel AppleCare for a near 50% refund.
You are the only one who can make this decision, but it sounds like the X is the perfect phone for you and it is something you will use every day for at least the next year or so. If you need the extra money for life's necessities than changing to a less expensive phone is the right way to go. If the money is for another "want" item I would carefully consider what you are giving up vs what you are getting.
Would have ordered the Pixsell 2 xl as I need (grown accustomed to) the larger display, but with all the reported screen issues I can't go there for the sake of my sanity! Also the long term build quality and Google hardware support is questionable. The Pixel 2 is nice and buttery smooth. iOS 11 is the worst update ever.

Yes, that is what he is referring to and I finally found a YouTube video of someone doing it but the Verizon guy who was a self-proclaimed Samsung guy and owned both the galaxy s8 (? I’m not sure I know Samsung names) and note 8 swore that no phone on the market does that.

I am a bit sad right now.
I have decided that I will return my iPhone X... I got it a few hours ago (Germany), installation went smoothly. First impressions: I hate the sharp edges between the screen / back and the metal, and I also cannot comfortably reach the emoticon/keyboard button in the lower left side with my thumb (I use the phone with one hand), which is a deal-breaker. Also, the display changes color too much when viewing at slight angles, reminds me of 10 year old LCD displays unfortunately.
I owned every iPhone since the start, and this is the first one I will be returning. Disappointing.
Am I alone?
Just got mine and am already ready to box it up and return it. The tall, skinny screen is so dumb, why did they go with that aspect ratio?! The colors change from different viewing angles. The notch is fugly. I miss the wide keyboard of my 7+. I don't see any benefits other than it being smaller. Don't know what people see in this phone, I'm not impressed. I'm also sad, this is the first year ever that I wont have a new iPhone.
The X isn’t really for a plus users it’s for non plusers. Next year they’ll be an X+.
When you complain about the price seems like you couldn’t afford it.
How did you guys manage to put these 2 threads right on top of the other:

Looks like the "will" have the lead.
BTW, I'm a Left Twix guy and the Right Twix people can suck it.
Nah, I feel like most people upgrade yearly. That’s why the iPhone upgrade program is such a hit even though you’re literally throwing money down the drain. I do it so that I can upgrade every year. I could be way off, but based on what I’ve seen from people I know and those that I’ve stood in line with waiting for new iPhones... there are two types of people: 1. Those who use the upgrade program and upgrade yearly. 2. Those with enough money to just pay retail for whatever phone they want (and they usually buy new phones at every release, or in this instance they buy both the 8 plus AND iPhone X). I think Apple would have sold just as many phones no matter how they handled this release. It doesn’t really matter what Apple does, until they screw up big time their products will sell, and they will likely sell out on launch day.
Returned mine today. So happy to go back to my 7+. Really hated the X. If this is their idea of the future of iPhones, then I may have to switch to an Android.

All these “rich people” seem to think it’s a good idea to perpetually pay $50 a month for the rest of their lives just to have the latest phone.
