I feel like I've been on such a long journey with all of you. I am quite familiar with the regular posters' names with my daily MacRumors lurking and it's kinda like we've been on a deserted island and are finally seeing signs of rescue....

Don't let me down, Apple. My 3 year old PC's motherboard crapped out in June and I had to bring an old Pentium 4 back to life since then. My first imac want's to/needs to be ordered.

If the new iMac is coming out I'm driving to Montreal tonight and picking one up from the retail store (if they have them in stock :p)

Rudy69, why Montreal? You saving on taxes? I'll be ordering today or tomorrow. Glad I waited.

I am betting i will be close. Would be great for a Quad option in the 21.5's and I have a funny feeling Apple might surprise us. Will be ordering today or tomorrow. If it happens which it looks like it will.

hold on guys! we CAN'T just assume it's the imac! it might be the mac pro! Man that would be a downer!!!

However, if this article is accurate, then I'd be hard pressed to even call this an update (unless there's some unmentioned update to the feature set like USB 3.0 or something).
Those tie in with Core i5 being used instead of C2D. If those are accurate that's quite a speed boost.

i5 is good and all, but if they don't add any more QC offerings to the lower 3/4 of their offerings (looks like the "top of line" model is going to be unchanged), then I'll be a little disappointed. Perhaps this will be a customizable option.

is it bad that i feel somewhat like an expectant father in the waiting room of a hospital as i keep refreshing the store page????:eek:

Magic TrackPad too!!!!! Multi-touch as a BTO option on all iMacs!!! :D

Looks like I was right on the 5750 gpu instead of mobility 5850/5870, now the only thing to ask is if that 5750 is an underclocked desktop/ stock desktop or mobility. Mobility would make no sense tho, as mobility 5750 is downgrade from mobility 4850.

They actually used the 3.6ghz clarkdale, that's pretty baller. Also looks like they found out they could put 1333mz ram in the iMacs like many of us have found out earlier.
