Safety suggestion.

Disable Turn Off iPhone unless you unlock it. That way if somebody steals your iPhone he won't be able to turn it off and give you more time to locate it with Find My iPhone.
Unfortunately that would present a problem if the phone locks up and needs to be hard booted.

No, it wouldn't. That is totally unrelated.

The person wants to, at the lock screen, holding down power to not do anything. A fine suggestion. Something I made a point to do when jailbroken.

If the phone locked up, holding Power+Home+Volume would restart the phone... and not turn it off... which would resolve locked up phones while preventing a thief from turning it off.

This.

Or optional passcode/Touch ID authentication required to turn off the phone.

I think there's an old technological principle in play behind it all, that any device should have an essentially simple way to be turned off in case something is wrong with it.

On the Nexus 6P, this is a little annoying, but on the iPhone 7 (not plus) I can see this being useful.

When i had Galaxy S6 i had it at 20% and it was very useful, but my iPhone 6s Plus has awesome battery life, but it would be useful at ~15-20% battery level. This option should be there right now.

You do get the option to enable it when you get the 20% battery warning.

Dark mode, or at least a dark keyboard option

Dynamic content in iMessages e.g. Links show previews of content, videos show thumbnails, etc

Improvements to iPad multitasking - 2 instances of same app side by side e.g. Safari

Dynamic/subtle motion on icons like new Apple TV

Generally refreshed icons throughout entire system

New sounds (ring, text etc)

Fl.ux like feature which optimises display at sunset/nighttime so it's less stark, bad for eyes

Auto low power mode at 20%

Voicemail for FaceTime

Ability to type queries to Siri (alternative to using voice)

Weather and Calculator apps for iPad

Per-app rotation lock

More control over Do Not Disturb scheduling

Per-contact read receipts

Fix AirDrop (temperamental at best at the moment)

Letting UK users have 12 hour time with AM/PM (e.g. 4:58 PM)

Ability to snooze Messages and Mails to reply to them later

Sleep Cycle-esque Alarm app which uses accelerometer/sound to wake you in light sleep phase

New photo filters in Camera app (much needed)

Touch ID on Hidden Photos album and per-app in settings

That's a few off the top of my head. Bug fixes and under the hood optimisations obviously a given.

BIB: Go to Settings>General>Date and Time and toggle the 24 Hour Clock to 'off'. This'll give you AM/PM then.

I want the iOS back that isn't riddled with bugs...also wouldn't mind the ability to exit all apps in multi tasking, fully animated wallpapers, a dark mode...

It does but it doesn't say AM/PM everywhere and also annoyingly says a.m. and p.m. Which looks ugly IMO.

That's likely related to regional settings (for US at least it uses AM/PM, for other regions it can be different).

Bit flawed because all the their would have todo is reset the phone....

If a thief reset the phone, it brings it offline for a short while... until it's back at the lock screen again.

A thief rebooting the phone constantly isn't perfect but it's infinitely better than a thief turning it off for good.

And then just take the phone somwhere they know it won't get access to Internet.... So flawed

I think the idea of passcode/fingerprint to turn the phone off is a much better idea. Rendering all buttons useless unless you put passcode in first. And then if the phone is reset by a thief the phone should automatically send its location via any network to your email address every 30minutes until you put the correct passcode or password in.

Will add to this... Or maybe have a secret combination of the power and home button to then be able to turn the phone off like 3 clicks of the home button 2 clicks of the power button... Obviously a user set one so then it's not universal on everyone's phone.
