Interesting thing about that one was it didn’t happen 50% of the time. It was a very infrequent issue. For me, at least.Thanks. Did that earlier today.

Here is an example (some are a lot worse). The directions to the Coffee Cup just stop! On the old map the directions take you to the correct place. Very strange.Overall I’m loving the new UK map, the detail is fantastic.
However, I’ve noticed there seems to be serious issues with directions (specifically the arrival location), lots of places the directions aren’t taking you to the actual location. I’ve tried on my iPad which is showing the old maps still and they are fine on there, so I have no idea what’s happening with the new maps but they need to sort it as 50%+ of places I’ve looked at have incorrect arrival locations (all these locations are fine on the old map). I’ve submitted lots of reports!
Here is another one. The directions to
Shell just stop. There are some that are literally 2+ miles away (but again, they’re fine on the old map).

Yea we tried GM over the weekend but went back to Apple. Wby would you have lights but not during navigation. That's where you need them most. Also two other things we didn't like.So I took a look at Google Maps now that their new ground data is visible to me. They also added traffic lights to intersections. Traffic lights on Google Maps are visible at all times when browsing the map. Not just when using navigation like Apple Maps.
My thoughts on their ground data? The map looks better than it did before this update. However, if I were to think of it in terms of how it looks...Apple Maps wins. My town is green everywhere on Apple Maps. On Google Maps, you can literally see the town's boundaries. Within town limits, the only green you see is parks. The rest is just gray. When you are outside of a town's boundaries...that's when you are seeing green...until you get into the boundaries of another town. This is contrasted to Apple Maps, which has the land detail everywhere.
Google is definitely trying to play catchup to Apple on certain aspects of the map (in this case, traffic lights and ground data). On one hand, Google just released more detailed ground cover for the entire planet at once. On the other hand, what Apple is releasing at a slow pace, looks...better. I understand the slow pace may be frustrating for people, but it's paying off in my opinion.
As a user in the US...Apple Maps will continue to be my go-to. I have enjoyed it a LOT more ever since the new map came around.
Same for Panera Bread. And I've reported it three times. Why even have a report button??? And I don't get any feedback past the initial screen where it states it has been reported. There no way a newcomer will know where to go from the end of the route it gives. Here is an example (some are a lot worse). The directions to the Coffee Cup just stop! On the old map the directions take you to the correct place. Very strange.

It's only places that you have visited, so check places that you have visited since yesterday's beta release.
I‘ve been to a few places today (even checked them out beforehand and used walking directions for one restaurant) and it shows no rating interface here (germany).D'oh!
I did check places I visited, but didn't even consider that it would have to be after the beta was released. Thanks!
Going to drive around and visit places today then...hah!
I've just woken up and found I have the new maps on my iOS 13.7 iPhone 11 here in the UK.
I'm guessing there may have been another increase in the test pool...
Well i've still got them...Or it may have simply changed...some people may have lost them.
Share anything interesting you see!!
Well i've still got them...
I'm assuming that they are testing for a roll out with 14It's been nearly 2 weeks since release, so based on past schedules, The UK may see general release around the first week of October. My guess is that Canada goes into preview next with release by the end of November.

(I'm also assuming that we get 14 on or near the usual schedule even if the new hardware is delayed)

How can I tell if I have the new maps?
Hey, the list of cities for Look Around should probably say "Washington DC Metro Area". Look Around seems to be available everywhere inside the Beltway, based on my quick sample. When a road crosses I-495, there's look-around on one side, and not on the outer side.
Incidentally, where does one find the imagery "as of" dates? Can't seem to find...
Which imagery??
