Please don’t spark up this topic. Is it noticeable? Yes. Is it a big deal? Depends.. on the user. Having used a 60hz on the Note10+ and upgrading to 120hz on Fold2, I wouldn’t want to resort back to using anything lower than 120hz.
Id bet if you didnt know it was 120HZ, you wouldnt notice. Maybe some would but i think its mostly in peoples head.
So it scrolls nicer? Think ill live with 60HZ on that note. Im not a mad scroller.

Now i know they are used different on phones than TVs but............

TVs have 120 HZ but all broadcasts are in 60HZ. It only really is usefull on gaming consoles. Those buying 240 HZ TVs thinking they really got a good one are wasting their money on something that wont happen for many years and your TV will crap out before then lol.

Personally, I think thats just wrong. I can easily tell a difference between 60hz and 120hz.

Its not only scrolling. I'm not even a speed scroller demon. Where you see 120hz is through the entire OS from opening/closing apps.. interacting with notifications, from opening up the App Drawer... using the web browser. Obviously, if I had to go back to 60hz... I could to it with no problem. But I wouldn't choose to.

Because you know its there. Whats the benefit other than scrolling? More RAM should take care of the scrolling.
You notice 120hz when scrolling, with any animation, and with any interaction with the screen really.

RAM would have nothing to do with smooth scrolling.

You dont think that comes from having more RAM on the phones now? iPhones never had that much Ram til now. They went up to 4 GB on th 11 and now 6 on the 12.

In anycase, the videos ive seen on it, most of them compare in slow Mo which is lame. Others show scrolling comparisons which is lame.
Gaming of course you will see a difference and like i said only on gaming consoles on TVs is it evident because of the broadcasts in 60hz.

Id imagine those with sensitivity to flicker would notice the most. Its not that big a difference to me...and like i said, if i didnt know what i was watching, i probably wouldnt know teh difference and just assume one phone had more RAM then the other.

You cant see the difference in video because the video is usually limited to 60hz or lower. So just watching videos on it doesnt show the difference. You have to see it live and feel it to notice the difference.

Same. Using quick search in iOS or Android is much quicker than rifling through an app drawer with 200 apps.
Me too. I remember the days when I used to obsess over the order of all my apps on every home page. Now I have a few widgets + my most used apps on the first two screens, everything else I call up with a search.

Which is a good thing as those app icons on iOS continue to be HELL to move around :D The worst downside of the new widgets for me is actually simply adding or moving them...chunks of my app icons will just be chucked around to wherever completely without any sense whatsoever. Just insanely aggravating sometimes.

Yeah, I've been using Offer Up. Its really been the place to go... I didn't know how valuable it was until about a month a go. Craigslist has been a ghost town. I feel like Craigslist had a huge potential to be eBay.

Had my sim in my iPhone now for a few days. Still really no further forward around which device to keep lol.

The more I used the iPhone the more I'd rather use the Fold 2.
Camera on iPhone isn't the best. For the every day shots I find it a bit disappointing.

This is a portrait mode pic in quite a challenging scenario (light behind) but it's just crap. Some may love the result but it's all subjective at the end of the day. I still find iPhone portrait mode to be one of the worst around. Just hardly bother using it as I am never satisfied with the output.

Still love the design of the iPhone but I might try a few days with the Fold now and see if I find myself hankering for the iPhone. Doubtful though!

Looks like it failed to get most of your dog in focus. Unless you were trying for the cushion. lol

Definitely not trying for the cushion haha. No doubt it'll be my error for not using portrait mode properly. "You obviously didn't tap on the dog huh huh". ?

Quickly sell one of them - which one? Flip a coin :)
I still had time to think (and return) but I put my iPhone up for auction and it sold right away :)

I just got an LG V60 for $400. It won't come with the dual screen but it's in really good shape. I'm tired of my G8 dying so quick. I think on LTE/WiFi that 5000mAh battery is gonna rock. I'm not ready to give up that quad DAC yet. I'm still an audiophile.

Can't wait to see how this device holds up to my 11 PM battery life.

Was playing around with an S20 plus today. Samsung’s android is really nice and optimized. But the build quality to be honest is rather lackluster. even my XS Max feels better.

I've never had an iPhone. Closest is I still have an iPod Touch 5, and an iPad Air (1). I still have many games that I already paid for, so no point in letting them go to waste! Even thought I carry the IpT5 with me, the Ipad gets used more often. Even then, it's strictly for gaming.

I got my first smartphone back in 2011 on Android. I liked Android enough to continue sticking with them nearly 9 years later.

Secured a 256gb Graphite 12 Pro Max for next Friday. I kept refreshing the "we're just putting the finishing touches to the store" page, not knowing I could get to the buy page another way. Lucky, because the shipping date slipped a couple of minutes later. Let's see if it impresses me enough to keep it....

As should be no surprise to anyone here, I’ve got a preorder in for a Pro Max—actually have two in. ☺️ I have access to an Apple employee’s discount but wasn’t sure they would be able to place a timely preorder so I put one in myself as well. Just found out that preorder also got placed. Rather than cancel, going to see which color I like best—one is blue while the other is silver, and return the other.

Having already sold my 11PM this week. I got my pre-order in for the 12 Pro Max Pacific Blue 128. Should be here next Friday.....of course...I took that day off as vacation day!

One of the things I love about Apple and iTunes.....I made an encrypted back up of my 11 Pm so I can restore it to my new 12 PM and have the new phone exactly how my old phone was. Then the encrypted backup will restore all my application passwords as well so no hassle setting up all my apps.
