They keep denying it. But its kind of tough to leave that much money they getting from Google.Save money? That doesn't make much sense. They losing money
My mistake. I had it in my head it was the other way around for a minute.

If this this ever becomes a reality, I'd assume you wouldn't be able to change your default search engine like on Android? Would be a pain having to go on Google all the time instead of typing in the address bar.

It might just become the default but with the option to change it, given that they just started opening up to other third party default apps.

It's no biggie.

I just don't see a major benefit from Apple making their own search engine. The obvious point is that they will lose billions from Google and on top of that people don't view Siri as a great Virtual Assistant. Siri continues to get criticism from not being as reliable and fast as Google or Alexa.

More because of money but yes no doubt they will be marketing it for better privacy.
Of course they will. They are like Politicians. Tell you what you want to hear but in the grand scheme, it isn't much better. As mentioned already, If you are online and somebody wants your data they can and will. Being in forums and Facebook , Amazon, or browsing anywhere with a Apple device thinking you are safe is hogwash.

12 Pro max
Ipad Pro 12.9
Fold 2

Fair to say I'm all about the big devices

I'm really super curious on the 12 Pro Max VS 11 Pro Max battery. That was my only qualm. Smaller mAh. Looking forward to seeing battery tests done.

Yep, my devices soon will be:

IPhone 11 Pro Max
IPad Pro 12.9
LG V60 ThinQ 5G

V60 will be here Tuesday if no hiccups during shipping.

I'm starting to get the itch to switch out my iPhone 12 Pro for Max... Lol

It's nice having smaller phone feel at times but I miss my Max...

My sissy is getting my 11 Max... So I can't go back now.....

Given up today trying to buy an Iphone 12 Pro after spending hours last night and again 2 hours this am on tech support, its a crock of crap between Apple and carriers here

Apple will sell you a phone full price but over 2 weeks delivery for $50 more and no 14 days return etc etc so pay more get less

The carriers will deliver in the next 3 days appox but lock you in on a 24 month data plan, they pretend the you can get the phone say $290 cheaper but have a stealth charge in the data plan that over 24 months comes to the same amount, but they will if you are lucky throw in a charger, want 8 months fee's in advance and if your not a local add a refundable $150 charge that you get back when you leave the country

Will leave it a few weeks so you can just walk-in and buy one off the shelf or maybe I will be really bored by then and skip it LOL

Man I don't like hearing your experience..that's the old days here in the US you would get phone discounts but pay more on cell plans.. Where are you? That sucks man..

Edit.. Just realized from your user name...

Got the cheap clear case to use with the iPhone initially and if I keep it, I'll pick one of these brighter (a bit different for me) official leather ones to keep as well.

Put my Pixel 5 case inside for size comparison. It doesn't actually seem as big a difference as I first thought.

The 11 Pro Max size didn't really bother me. What made it a bit unweidly was it's width and it's weight. It's a heavy ass phone.

What’s that clear case, if I may ask? Always hard to find a good clear case, and the most expensive aren’t always the best. I’m going to start doing my research already now so I don’t have to waste so much money until I find a good one :D

I bought it in the UK, this is the same one at Amazon US. I always buy this one for whatever phone I have.

12 Pro Max and Mini reviews are out.

General consensus for the Pro Max is...

- Battery is about what 11 Pro Max was...so great.
- Cameras are not noticeably better than the regular 12 Pro. Some low light stuff is marginally better and some exposure time is less in low light, but thats about it. MKBHD actually said he couldnt notice any difference in situations with decent light. Like zero difference.
- Its on the verge of being too big. Flat sides make an already huge phone feel even bigger.

Everything else is basically the same as the 12 Pro.

MKBHD i wouldn’t even call it a review. Verge and toms guide went into far more detail. MKBHD has become frustrating to watch these days.

i think you if want a bigger screen, best cameras and better battery life the max is the best option but 12 pro you won’t be missing too much.

I agree. He is trying to appeal to the casual viewer too much which means quick videos without too much technical detail.

But after watching a couple, none of them act like the camera in the Pro Max is that much better than the 12 Pro. They even said dont get the Pro Max for the camera, get it for the screen and battery life. Which I agree is probably the biggest draws.

Seems as though the better buy out of all the iPhone 12's.. is the standard 12. With the 12 Mini, it's too small for most people, 12 Pro.. not too much difference to justify the cost, and the 12 Pro Max.. it's too big.

Yeah i mean all the cameras are great so i think most people should get it more for the bigger screen, better battery life. Cameras will certainly be better but will most people care too much for a slightly better camera? Think it’s more for the techies to shout which is better i guess...think we are seeing how hard it to improve great cameras.

Being in lockdown I wouldn’t say i will be taking too many photos lol there\s only so much you can take of your pets. Still it’s a welcome improvement no matter what improvement it is.

I was hoping for a more dramatic difference between the cameras as well but, in all honesty, I’d be purchasing the Pro Max regardless, for the very things mentioned (battery and screen). Didn’t make a difference for me last year when the camera systems were identical and the price differences were also the same. Not an excuse for Apple but would‘ve been nice to see the additional benefits too.
