I haven’t ordered any of the new iPhones and this will likely be the first year I don’t. I think the pricing is just getting absurd. I’d need to spend £850 to get a regular 12 with 128Gb storage and no zoom lens, no 120Hz display, no charger (!!!), no Always-On Display etc. The competition is getting too good for these prices, especially in the mid-range.

I’m not sure where I go from here with iPhone.

@Aneres11 How's the silicone case holding up, has it worn away any more? Tempted by the white one if i end up keeping the phone. A cheap clear one will do for now.

That's a shame, especially for £50!
Yeah. John Lewis had them for £39 on an 'introductory offer' so seemed like a good buy really.
But considering both of the cases I've bought have done the exact same thing almost straight away is utter rubbish.

Bored of my iPhone already tbh. Notifications on iPhone are just exhausting.

Agree, i wont spend 1k + for a phone. And these real expensive pro, ultra, max phones are too damn big as well.

I agree with the $1,000 plus for any phone. I wouldn't do it and I have stupid money. However I don't feel the iPhone Pro Max phones are excessively big. You know what's big? Try using a Nexus 6, now that's a big phone. It's currently the phone I still use everyday and I have no issues with it's size and I have normal size hands. I can even operate the phone with one hand if I have too.

In comparison the iPhone Pro Max feel small in comparison. My Huawei Mate SE was about the same size as the 11 Pro Max and I found that to be a comfortable one handed phone.

Yes some people don't mind huge phones, Im just not one of them.

The Samsung S20 Ultra and A71 with the 6 7" Screens,....way too big for my taste.

My sweet spot is my Pixel 4a up to the 6 2" Pixel 4a 5G. Both are pretty much all screen with nearly no bezel which makes the overall phone size smaller. My 4a is shorter overall than my SS GS9 was with the bigger screen.

Big phones have never been a problem for me either. Maybe not being a skinny jeans wearer helps.
I’m a skinny jeans wearer lol. I went from an 8 Plus to the 12 and it’s so nice to downsize just a little. It’s amazing how awkward that 8 Plus was in hindsight and bizarre to think I’ve got a bigger screen but a smaller device now. That 12 Pro Max looks huge in comparison and I couldn’t think of anything worse than having that now I’ve used the 12.

Big screen devices have drawn me back in. I think I've gone up and down over the years but I keep coming back to huge phablets. Yeah, they aren't exactly the easiest to use in certain situations but they are essentially, as the nickname would accurately dictate, a phone and a tablet. For someone who watches a lot of video, reads a ton of manga, uses many social media and forums, I just can't truly enjoy small phones.

I'm a girl with a humongous purse. Carrying and transit aren't an issue.

All women's handbags are huge if you take into account not the external dimension, but the content or the time needed to search for a ringing phone :) This is what I conclude from my wife's case ;)

I keep saying I want to own a Pixel, but at this point, I have no desire to give Google my money, especially since I’ve become a lot more privacy conscious and Pixel phones just sound like duds year after year.

The only Google app I use is YouTube, and I’ve switched my browser to DuckDuckGo and my email to ProtonMail. Now that I have an Apple Watch and a new iPad and MacBook, I am firmly in the Apple ecosystem and I’m very happy, especially after the iOS 14 release.

Far from it. Only real complaint last year was the battery. And this year it's the (for some) speaker.

As for privacy, it doesn't matter what you use. If you're online and someone really wants your data, they'll get it. Anyone thinking they're safe because they use certain products are just kidding themselves.

Something like that but feels bigger for sure

Here's case difference from note 20 ultra
Yeah the difference between 11 Max and 12 Max is literally 1mm length and less than that in width, but those Apple silicone cases are pretty thicc if I remember correctly.

Preeeeeeeach! And I get it that Apple goes out of their way to let customers know their data is protected, but what I find ironic is. If Apple cares deeply about customers data... why do they allow Google Search to be default on Safari browser? Seems odd. Obviously, I know the answer... money talks.

Likely why they are rumoured to be creating their own search engine.
