It’s included in the system wide dark mode, but maybe you wanted to have it in Safari but nowhere else?
Not all websites appear dark. Maybe not an iOS thing (Chrome isn't dark on Android), but a Safari thing. Macrumors is fine, but plenty of others that I use daily (Amazon) aren't like they are on Samsung browser.

To be honest, its never been a thing with Safari... its like that on my Mac. Yeah, MacRumors does it... but thats more of an outlier, it gets plenty of Apple users. But Safari don't really do dark mode for web pages like Samsung Browser. One of the reason why I like Android...

It's also annoying Microsoft only give you a small selection of keyboards in SwiftKey on iOS. I always use a black keyboard with neon blue letters.

Might sound like I'm bashing iOS! Just my obversations of the little things that make a big difference to my user experience.

How's the phone so far?
The 12 Pro Max is a really nice phone. My only complaint would be that the camera bump is huge! I planned on using the phone without a case but this thing won’t even charge on my current wireless charger because the bump lifts the phone so much! It also feels really heavy compared to the Pixel 5 but I’m sure that’s something anyone would quickly adjust to.
The camera is nice but I took several shots with both my Pixel and iPhone and I still prefer the photos Pixel produces in most instances.

Early impressions coming back to iPhone from fold 2 as my daily is I have noticed that refresh rate. While iPhones 60hz is very smooth for 60hz it’s still not 120hz so for me it’s noticeable but is it a big deal? Maybe not as I will still use the phone the same but yes I will miss this

Took while to get used to the swiping gestures again coming from Android but will get there in the end just takes time

Not used camera much but boy the small shutter speed is great and for moving objects like pets it’s a massive upgrade from using note ultra and fold 2. Good to know I have pretty much the most complete camera system on my hands when I need it.

I will be using my fold 2 with it of course but one thing I have noticed the app quality of iOS is better with the design and how polished it is. Not that android apps are bad they are perfectly good but just for me not as good as iOS.

Notifications is one thing I have missed too as now I get all notifications on time which for my main phone I need. Nothing worse than opening a phone with 15 notifications coming though at once...so having the Apple Watch again is a blessing. Think I was more looking forward to that than the phone

One thing driving me nuts is swiping up to notifications to click my settings and realise you aren’t on android fool...go find your settings app

Set up my 12 PM and AW6 yesterday. First impressions of the 12PM coming from the 11PM and Note 20 Ultra....The 12PM seems so much bigger in the hand because of the squared sides. The 11Pm seemed easier to hold because of the rounded sides. But that is not a big deal as it just takes time to get used to something new.

I can echo what @The Game 161 said about the shutter speed on the camera. It is really fast to focus and snap the shot. I will test the camera out later today.

First thing I did notice was the display color and sharpness is nothing compared to the Note20 Ultra though.
I am not seeing the differences in apps on IOS versus Android that others seem to notice.

But I do have to hand it to Apple on their backup and restore process. It is so smooth...I was able to restore the encrypted backup of my old 11PM to the new 12PM in about 10 minutes. Everything was just like the 11PM with all my apps and settings. I didn't have to enter a single app password.

Agreed on holding the phone even though the ultra is on paper a bigger display the pro is more of handle. Agree on the colour and brightness not sure you will find anything better than Samsung for this...

Backup was scary quick, on my Samsung it takes slot longer to restore that’s for sure. I thought I would need to adjust a lot but wasn’t the case at all. Better than I remembered it.

Pffft. I synced mine from a laptop and took 2.5 hours.? No idea why it took so long, it's a high end laptop. Maybe because it's new and no previous Apple data on it?

I was hoping this would be a phone that PayPal works properly with. Every Android & iOS device I've tried suffers from the asking for password after using biometrics bug. So have to use a pin instead

I'm sure this feels/is wider than my Note 10+ was, which I like.No matter what I decide, I know I'll be happier with a big device. Especially as I watch a lot of YouTube on phones.

It was probably because it was the first time doing the back up?
Then I have correct myself...I think I did have enter a password for my bank. Then enable FaceID again in the banking app.
I am really enjoying the 12PM so far...I have the Apple leather MagSafe case coming next week to try out. I want to try it out in my truck to see if it can be used to hold my phone in a magnetic mount and not fall off.

YouTube is pretty great on bigger phones for sure :)

I think it copied the media first (around 100gb) and then synced it. Just weird because even transferring the same amount of data from a mechanical drive to my laptop only takes a few mins. Still, doing it last time on my 12 year old desktop took about 8 hours. lol

Am I the only one here who suffers from the PayPal app log in bug? I've come across others online with it, but there's no fix for it.

I don't use the PP app. I use the website...But it did make me jump through some hoops to get logged in :) I entered the password then it had me go through my security question then verify I wasn't a robot..then pick traffic lights out of the picture.

Are there any other keyboards aside SwiftKey & Gboard worth using? On iOS, I don't have a dedicated comma button which slows me down.

Good stuff hearing you guys with the set ups and easy backups... PayPal I only use website.. And I have it linked to auto login once it's trusted... I have to have it automatically bc I buy plenty of high demand sneakers lol no delays need FaceID go.. Lol

I noticed some chatter with iPhone video settings having HDR video set to on it might look weird when sharing to social.. Anyone test that yet?

Same...had to do all that then do 2FA but now whenever I open the app, it just uses FaceID.

@jamezr I'm sure it's too early to say, but if you could only keep one phone for the next few months, would it be the Note or iPhone?
It is really early...but I have thoroughly enjoyed my Note20U very much. It just offers more functionality imho.
But I love my AW and I have tried other smartwatches and they just don't compare. So that is thrown into the mix as well. I will probably use the N20U more in the long run.

I know overall I'd prefer a Note 20U. But using an iPhone for a while will be different and it's a great device. Then moving back to a Note (30?) will be a big and welcome change.

Unless Google say **** it and release a gigantic no expense spared phone. And I'm unlikely to change my mind any time soon on what manufacturer gives me the most pleasing photo.
