I got this error 3 times in a row on my macbook with snow leopard. I just recently upgraded to 4.3.5 on this same machine and had no problem. I've used tiny umbrella on it in the past, but set it so it doesn't save the host file. i dont know if that even has to do with anything.

Either way, i fired up my windows PC with vista, and it updated my iphone 4 to ios 5 without any problems on the first try.

I dont get it.

Got it!

Finally, after like 15 times lol

iPhone wiped... had to do a factory restore..... Grrr

That failed 3 times, now it is restoring, hopefully with newest OS.

But lost all my data I think..... Contacts and everything...

Restoring iPhone firmware.....

Your phone has been restored to factory settings and is restarting.....

Restore in progress..... from my last back up.... (lucky I have done 20 of those today)

3 Hours 33 Minutes later, 20 failed updates, 2 factory restores now restoring apps.....

Looks promising.....

Apple ID entered and iCloud setting up....

Fully working iOS5 now restoring music and apps........

Sweet......

Now for the iPad......

Error 3014 iOs5

Nice. Been updating since 1 PM. First the Macbook Pro, then the iPhone 4, now the iPad 2. It has errored out 4 times already. Now my iPad 2 is wiped, but won't restore. Why didn't Apple expect its servers to get slammed? I searched this error and it basically says close iTunes and try again.

Update: 5 times!

I got iOS 5 onto my 3GS, but now I cannot get any songs or apps to sync to my phone. I've tried restoring a few times, restarted the phone/computer, tried wifi sync....nothing

Anyone else having trouble getting their music/apps back on their phone?

I am getting all sorts of error, one after and another. My phone is pretty much ****ed because the update always stops halfway

Fixed?

Seems to be working now. The "Verifying with Apple" step is taking longer now, rather than immediately failing with an "internal error". Seems like the change was on Apple's server.

Iphone cannot be restored

omg... wtf??? then it asked me to totally restore it losing everything. I waited 50 minutes for ios 5 to download onto my computer now this??? Trying to restore it again. Now I ahve to start all over :(

OK - my verizon iPhone 4 16gb is bricked...

It is in "recovery mode" and iTunes tries to restore and I get error 3004

I have a macbook Pro (feb 011) running snow leopard (I think - I didn't upgrade to Lion)

I backed up my phone - I have wifi off and it is in airplane mode....

What do I do???

HELP

Took me several tires but it worked! I ended up using the "restore" option, because I kept getting the Internal Error message when trying to "update." But before that I did a sync and unclicked all the music and movies I had on the iPhone since that takes forever to back up.

It restored it to factory settings with iOS5 installed. Right now it's restoring my settings from backup. Looks like that will take about 20 minutes or so for a 32GB device...

I got the error message first time, so i tried again. Second time it seems to have gone through ok... Just restoring my apps...

Ooh, like the little zoom-in Apple logo..!

did it work?
i get about 90% then get error again

Right now I am in restoring iPhone apps mode so I believe it worked. Did a restart of my phone, engaged airplane mode.

Then again... it really could be freakish luck. Either way it made me feel like i was doing something productive lol.
