I actually prefer the coppery gold of the 11 pro more, but I’m really looking forward to the Form factor. Love how the iPad Pro feels in my hand.

I doubt you’d see much difference in colour. I see no difference. Apple can say what it likes, lol.
It is most certainly not the same color as the 11 Pro. The 11 Pro gold is much more of a rose gold than the 12 Pro gold. See the link or screenshot below.

Not being funny, but the colour of that example 11 Pro is way too dark. It isn’t that dark in real life, so yes, they are the same.
No, they are 1000% NOT the same lmao. They even said during the event that it is a new gold finish. I'm literally holding a gold 11 Pro Max right now and it's exactly the color from my screenshot. You're setting yourself up to be extremely disappointed if you insist on thinking they're the same color...
Edit: Here you go, the exact timestamp of the event in which they clearly state this is a new gold finish.

If you like BLING, get the case I have ordered. Case Mate has a Gold Twinkle Ombré that is clear at the top and graduates to gold bling at the bottom. OR— of you are not a fan of this gold, get the Case Mate Twinkle Gold case that is all gold bling! The buttons are gold on these two as well.

Hard to believe that Apple now uses a “real” gold color for their iPhone 12 Pros! Wonder why they chose a real gold color after all theses years of offset of gold and of fake gold colors?

You got a three week wait, sweet pea, for pre-orders to start. An additional one week for delivery or in-store. One month at the earliest to get it in your hot little hand 🖐. Start saving those pennies! I wanted hands on with a new device quicker than that so I’m getting a 12 pro in-store on the 23rd. Word.
